Moura's New York Style Deli — Restaurant in Buffalo

I went for the first time today, the staff was very nice - I asked a few questions about what comes on the sandwiches since I'd never been in there before and they were very helpful. You can choose your meats, vegetables, cheese, and condiments and a large pickle spear comes on the side. The sandiwch was $5.49 and was ready in probably 2 minutes, so it was fast food speed but with high quality ingredients. I enjoyed the view while eating, the deli has nice, big windows on the front. The inside of the deli is nice as well, it's very clean and the green is a nice, bright but now overwhelming color. It just feels fresh. I use to work here and the soups and sandwiches are the best downtown for sure i use to take my break and get the best hot roast beef sandwich with colesaw and russian dressing on toasted sour dough bread and let me tell you the soups are homemade well a couple aint but never the less there all great just good people dont know if they still have spinach pies they were great to a great family that helped me in so many ways mark was like a dad to me and he gave me my first job in ny and so did his brother rich that owned scalises deli in n tonawanda thank you and your family for giving me a much needed job at the time. I have been eating at Moura's since 1989. I always order the same sandwich, from the same employees. I get the same results, a hearty delicious sandwich with my favorite side- a pickle. This time I ordered the special- my sandwich with potato soup w/ ham. I was full from the soup- it was creamy with nice chunks of ham and a small carrot. It is definitely not a secret that you get your munch on at Moura's, there is a line to the door at lunchtime. It's worth the short wait, they are a quick moving family, everyone if friendly and the prices are comparable to other fast food chains.
