I waited for a resolution before I left a review but the restaurant is refusing to address the issue. My mind is actually blown at what they did and how they’re acting. I ordered pick up yesterday for lunch, I walked in to grab my pizzas with my 3 children. The employee “Alan” started to yell at me to not make a mess. He was incredibly disrespectful and loud. I asked him not to yell at me and he only continued to yell. The “manager or shift leader” Vicky completely ignored what was going on, she did not address the employee or the situation. The entire restaurant was staring yet Vicky would not even look in my direction. I kept asking for the manager and Alan would not tell me until I asked multiple times. I then stood and waited for Vicky to acknowledge me, she would not. I had to get in line to order for her to actually acknowledge me, I asked if I could speak with her. When I did, all she said was there was nothing she could do. She did nothing. My children were asking why the man was yelling at me. Alan continued to walk past me and mutter obscenities and cuss words then angerly say things in a different language all as I was waiting for the manager. He then started to yell about me very loudly to another employee. Vicky simply did nothing and did not care to make things right. My husband and I both left formal complaints online and have not received a response. I called the store today to ask for the general manager without announcing who I was. I could hear that Vicky had answered the phone. When I asked when the GM would be in, she rudely said “umm why?” I said “so that I can speak with them.” She then told me he wasn’t there today. So I asked when he’d be in and she said she didn’t know. She did not try to find out or reassure that I could speak with them, or take my number. I repeated that he was not there and they didn’t know when he’d be there, and Vicky responded saying he actually WAS there but was not in the building. So I said, “he’s there but he’s not there?” Then she just said “yeah and I don’t know when he’ll be here.” So I have been blown off, an employee yelled at me in front of my children and this shift leader has done nothing. Apparently I can’t speak to the manager either. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I used to work in this industry when I was younger and yelling at a customer especially in front of small children was absolutely unacceptable. Should still be, but apparently at Blaze it’s accepted and allowed with absolutely no need to even address. And when I try to speak with someone, I’m not allowed to and given the run around. I will never give this place my business again knowing how they treat their customers and with zero problem resolution. The behavior that’s allowed to ensue in front of small children is absolutely not a place I would recommend bringing your family. To add to this, historically I have ran into several young employees with bad attitudes when dining here....
Read moreI truly hope the owner of this location reads this. Last evening, my wife and I took two international visitors to Blaze because of the very positive experience we’ve had in the past. We have visited this location many times. Last evening was awful. We encountered bad manners and awful service. When we came in we were not greeted at all. The place was almost empty. This short young lady with glasses proceeded to ask us what we wanted, never looking at us and with a facial expression that denoted her great displeasure toward us. This continued until I asked her if she would mind telling us why she looked so angry at us. With a very dismissive attitude she continued taking our second order (there were four of us) until my wife once again, asked her what was wrong. This young woman then blew her top. Addressing me she asked me why I was looking at her “like that”. I told her she needed to be kind and courteous toward customers and not treat us like we were nothing. What she did next was appalling! She said she would not continue serving us and added, “this place will not serve you at all and you need to leave!”
Today, I am still shaken by this. As I said at the beginning, we have been to that location in Buford many times. We are so sorry that the gentleman who is normally there as a Manager was not there this time. He is a tall African American gentleman who is not only funny but also very kind and extremely efficient. This young lady actually decided to let four paying customers leave or what is worst, kicked us out!! Our two visitors were beyond belief. They came here as their parents were considering sending them to attend a college in the area (fully paying students). I am a retired diplomat who served in a dozen countries and my wife is a senior official at a local university. As I mentioned at the beginning, I truly hope the owner of this place reads this. The worst thing that can happen in these cases is impunity. Not good for business nor for morale. I now work at a State Health Department and my colleagues have been asking me about our outing last evening. A good number of students at my wife’s workplace would also want to know about places to go for a pizza that is of great quality (it is!) but has the kind of ambiance that makes you want to go back. In closing, I do not wish ill to that young lady, but it is our strong feeling that she may find a better fit in a place where she does not have to work with customers.
