Chipotle — Restaurant in Bulverde

I’ve visited this Chipotle location a few times, always using the Chipotle lane, but this was my first time going inside since I had two gift cards to use. My husband and I stopped by around 8:30 PM, and it was quiet with no line.

The young woman preparing our order was friendly and seemed fairly new, possibly a bit overwhelmed as she was the only one behind the counter serving. Still, she handled it well and remained kind throughout—she was definitely the highlight of our visit.

Unfortunately, the rest of the experience fell short. The cashier came off as impatient and dismissive. When I tried to scan my app, he quickly assumed I was using multiple rewards and told me I couldn’t do that, but I was actually trying to use a gift card from my phone. Then, when I handed him a physical gift card, he snatched it from my hand—not a great customer service moment.

To top it off, when we got home, the chips were stale, which was disappointing.

Fresh Sofritas Bowls & Chicken Bowl Favorites at Chipotle Bulverde We’ve stopped by the Chipotle in Bulverde several times to either dine in or pick up food to take home. This time we ordered inside to take home. The staff here are always friendly, welcoming, and quick to get our order together. We usually get sofritas burrito bowls, my husband adds three crispy tacos so he can make his tacos at home, and our daughter gets her burrito bowl with chicken. The chips weren’t quite as fresh as they usually are (but still good and didn’t stop us from enjoying them), while the entrees and sides were, as always, fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Disappointed. Stopped by for lunch today, and the experience was far below expectations—especially for an $18 meal. The chicken was fatty, stringy, and tasteless, which was incredibly disappointing. Portion control was another major issue. The initial serving of rice barely covered the bottom of the bowl, and the cheese portion was embarrassingly small. I politely asked for more of both, only to receive a minimal adjustment.

The chicken portion was equally frustrating. I kindly requested a bit more since what I was served was clearly insufficient for a standard portion—and I was still charged for double chicken!

To top it off, the staff’s attitude was unwelcoming. No gratitude for my business, just rudeness.
