For my kid’s bday party he requested donuts & pizza. Shipleys happened to be close to the pizza shop he likes and knowing they have a wide range of variety I decided to place my order there, even though they charge twice the amount (even double what Lee’s donuts charge, which are our favorites but unfortunately too out of the way for what time I had). I ordered the day before I needed them. When I arrived at noon I did try to pick them up from the drive through, but no one came so I drove around to go inside. I could only see one worker and 2 people were ahead of me. When it was finally my turn I gave the lady my name and she handed me my box and said have a nice day. When I got home I noticed on the receipt that two items had been lightly highlighted. Upon opening the box I found out they had replaced 2 of my donuts with something else… one of which came with walnuts on top, something my kids would never eat. They had my number on the order but never called to talk about the need for a change. I don’t think there shove been a need to change up as I’d placed my order the day before. The lady at the register never mentioned/explained it either. Looking at the donuts they looked like 1-2 day old discount donuts from Walmart and that’s exactly how they tasted. Dried out donuts are not what I expected and definitely not worth paying twice the amount. Even HEB down the road has better quality for half the price. Will not be back and would...
Read moreI was so excited for the opening of something new out here. The young girl who helped me get the donuts was so kind and amazing. This was my first time at a Shipleys Donut Shop and I ordered a dozen. I didn’t know apple fritters wouldn’t be apart of it and the girl did it anyway (not being aware they didn’t count either). The darker haired girl (which I assume was the manager) was nothing but rude to her in front of the customer, me, and after working all my years in customer service you do not do that in front of the customers. The poor girl made a mistake and it could be easily corrected. I would have paid the difference, but the darker haired girl rudely said she’d let it slide. I felt so bad for the girl I didn’t even check my donuts, because the girl who reprimanded her was the one who had gotten them. They were wrong and it was just a disappointment since I was getting donuts for the whole family and two people didn’t get anything they wanted. It wasn’t worth the trip back, but in the future I will double check to make sure I got what I actually ordered. I’m thankful to the sweet girl, but as a team y’all should be more respectful to...
Read moreUnbelievable 😑 Completely disappointed with the well known breakfast brand.
It’s been a few years since I’ve been at a Shipley’s Do-nuts … I was looking forward to it this morning. I try to start my day with a smile and do my best to make Someone else smile… So I ordered my Kaloches and orange juice, said Good Morning and left a tip at the drive thru. Huge smile from the woman working. I drove until I was cruising on Hwy-281 and reached in the bag.
Immediately I felt as if I was just literally SCAMMED!!!!!! Totally SCAMMED
Reached in the bag, grabbed my warm breakfast kaloche (Huge)… yeah… Huge and HOLLOW with a tiny little coil of ham FLOATING around in the kaloche. Instantly shocked in disbelief. I toss it in the bag and grab the other one. SAME…. tiny floating meat in a hollow kaloche. I actually felt SCAMMED out of a warm tasty breakfast, my money + tip and my mood. So I pulled over and took a photo.
Unbelievable and I won’t be returning.
