My fiancee and I went for Valentines Day this year. We typically try to have our dates here if we go out to eat and typically have a good time. This time wasn't the case, however. From the moment we ordered our drinks we felt unwelcome. The waitress Kayla seemed like she'd rather be any place else honestly. I had to ask twice for water and acted like it was a huge task. Even asking for extra napkins seemed like too much for her. Plus when our appetizers were brought out we were given dirty place. I figured no big deal my fiancee wanted the pretzels and I wanted the wings so we just used the plates they were on. I informed her the plates were dirty when she took them and she gave me a dirty look. When our food came out my steak was overcooked and she tried telling me it wasn't. The second steak was better in color but a little tough but I really didn't want to wait again so I told her it was fine and got a box to go we were given boxes we could barely fit our food in. Honestly the only good part about the experience was the Tipsy Cupids. My fiancee and I really liked them. My fiancee was the one who wanted to pay today and she felt it would be wrong not leave Kayla a tip at all so she left two dollars for her. I pointed out that we should tip the blonde bartender girl because the drinks were the best part and was the first in the staff to actually make us feel welcome with her heartfelt thank you. I don't know if its because it was a holiday but the experience really could have been better. Drinks shouldn't be the the best part of a meal. Our waitress seemed to be very polite to everyone else around too it was just use that seemed to be a bother to her so I don't know if she thought we were just two girls coming in and taking a table away from a couple or something more view based. My fiancee and I will stop back in the future. We're just really disappointed. I proposed to her there after all back in September so we really do enjoy eating at Applebees and typically do have a good time. Its just sad that today of all days we felt so...
Read moreMy husband and I were shopping in Bulter today and decide to stop for a bite to eat. We were going to go to Chipotle's. However after reading their reviews about how dirty the restaurant was, how rude the staff is and how many people got I'll after eat there, we quickly changed our mind. We decide on Applebee's right next door. What an outstanding decision that ended up being. We were sat immediately. Our waitress Harley greeted us within a minute and took our drink order. We placed an appetizer order for cheese sticks and meal order for tortilla soup, southwestern bowl and boneless chicken wings. We received our appetizer order and soup in less than 10 minutes and our meal order about 10 minutes after that. Everything was extremely fresh and cooked perfectly, it actually looked like the pictures on the menu. Harley our waitress was fantastic! She was very personable and catered to our every need. She checked on us regularly to see that everything was ok and refilled our beverages when they were just under a half empty. The manager was checking on tables making sure their visit was a pleasant one and seemed to be helping the staff in areas of need. I honestly can't say enough good things about our lunch experience today. I wish I could give 10 stars, from the hostess, to the service and amazingly fresh delicious food. I am so happy we made the decision to stop there for lunch instead of Chipotle's. We will definitely be stop there...
Read moreIf I could give zero across the board I would . Went Saturday night with my kids around 11pm. They were out of what I originally wanted , and when I picked a second menu item they were out of that too.. (being these are popular things , the waitress could’ve let us know in her introduction what was 86d that night to avoid anymore disappointment and also helped her tip out) once I did pick something out food eventually came and there was a black hair in my food I notice after eating a bit , my daughter also had a small black hair in her ranch. We told the waitress who said” we will take this off your bill” . The manager who you could tell was reluctant to come over (who was bald) made the joke “it wasn’t his hair “ and a brief apology . So not only did I have to pick 3 different things to be able to order food , when I got it I couldn’t eat it. Didn’t offer us any new food, didnt offer a dessert ,etc . Just did the bare minimum. We won’t be going back here , and corporate has been called . Mistakes happen in restaurants, but a good manager takes care of customers and this wouldn’t have flied where I work at. Idk if the cooks need a hair net or the waitresses do but check your food for hair when...
