Simply horrible experience and management. The chicken was pasty, the cream cheese in the Rangoon’s wasn’t melted and the waitress seemed to have the attitude of a Walmart employee. I told the waitress about the chicken, she comes back with a half order of chicken to replace it that is still pasty/doughy. I refused to eat it and my wife’s pork was the same way. Her Rangoon’s were under cooked. When we decided to leave and offer to pay for the items we actually ate, (3 shrimp and a Mnt. Dew) the waitress tried to charge us for everything. I explained to her that I was not going to pay for food we couldn’t and wouldn’t eat. She proceeded to go to the back and speak to the manager/owner whom we never saw. The waitress was told to bring the plates to her, then she returned to the register and said that we had to pay for one meal because we “touched the food”.... I explained that how would I know the food was no good if I didn’t take a bite. Apparently because I put soy sauce on my rice and stirred it the owner said that had been touched as well. So long story short. I paid $13 for a Mountain Dew and 3 Shrimp. I didn’t want to make a scene so I called back after we left the restaurant and it was rediculous. I finally talked to the owner whom was full of excuses and completely illogical in her reasoning as to why we were charged. I actually at one point recorded part of the conversation and if I could put it on here I would. Horrible customer service but that is what the majority of the reviews have said lately. Save your money and eat somewhere else. It’s not worth the headache. No more vacant on for us nor my friends or family as I will let them know about...
Read moreSo glad I tried this place. The menu is maybe a little short and it seemed pricey, but everything is expensive right now. I feel it was reasonable compared to anywhere else, especially considering the quality of the food. It's a typical hole-in-the-wall Chinese food menu, but everything was prepared wonderfully. In fsct it was best Chinese food I've eaten in Canyon County. The fried rice was actually fried, not just cooked then mixed like most others seem to do. The battered food was satisfyingly crisp but not crunchy. Portions were perfect. It was even presented nicely and looked delicious on the plate.
There is definitely room for improvement though. In no particular order:
The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn't bother me because food trumps all in my book as long as it's clean, which it was. But some will care.
My wife was hoping for lemon chicken, but it's not on the menu.
Our daughter needed a diaper change but there was no changing table in the restrooms. She had to do it on the floor.
Just a little effort in these areas would make this place dynamite in my book. The lack of a changing table was a pretty big deal for us. If you're the owner and you read this, please make...
Read moreThe smell was almost unbearable at first. Within minutes I somehow got used to the smell.
The bathroom... I feel bad for the guy that went in there before me. 🤢🤮 I hope I don't feel that way later 🤣.
The waitresses were even talking about the stench wondering if it was the bathroom.not a great topic while I'm trying to eat and not think about the smell.
The egg flower soup is good once you add salt and pepper.
The tofu and beef dish is tasty. Although, I think it was only due to the gravy on top.
The steamed rice was definitely old had to dump it into the egg flower soup to puff it back up.
The coffee I ordered was microwaved. Rather than make a new pot I got leftover coffee from 11AM. It's now 2PM.
The wait for me was super quick. However, I overheard the other table talking about 4 people walking out because they either waited to long or had to spend a certain amount because of a debit/credit card issue.
To finish off this review. NO CHOP STICKS!! what kind of "CHINESE FOOD" place doesn't offer chop sticks. They do have nice thick sturdy napkins...
