Jefferson's — Restaurant in Calhoun

I'm sad to have to change my review, because we frequent Jeffersons, whether here or in Cartersville almost weekly. A couple of weeks ago in Cartersville, we asked for sauce to go with our onion rings (which was typically included) and when we got the bill and noticed they'd charged 65 cents for it. It's irritating but we let it go because we did ask for sauce for them. On Halloween, we took the kids and had dinner. It was kids eat free day- no coupon necessary. When we got the bill, both kids meal charges were on it. We let the server know, and she said "oh yes they told us to only give the kids meal free if someone mentions it." That's a little shady practice, but they did remove it for us since we mentioned it. Today, my husband and I had lunch here, and it was just the final straw because it is crystal clear now that there's shady practices in place. He ordered 5 sauced tenders and I ordered 12 boneless wings. We didn't ask for any sauces this time. When we got our bill, there was a charge of 65 cents for "extra ranch." My husband asked the server "did we ask for extra ranch?" She says "no you didn't ask for any extra sauces. It must have just automatically charged it on there." Then proceeded to run our card with the charge still on it. It's 65 cents so whatever, we left. But we won't be back. Not to here and not to Cartersville, and unfortunately not to Adairsville even though we were very excited to have one by home. Gatekeeping deals from people who aren't aware of them and sliding in random charges here and there, as if soaring food prices aren't enough for people. Food is fine, service is subpar, but whoever runs these and creates these sideways practices is SHADY...

I ordered wings and their loaded fries. I requested flats and I got mostly drums. I also asked for my fries crispy. The fries came out white and soft. I told the waitress I hate to be an inconvenience but I didn't get what I requested. She did confirm my request upon taking my order prior to receiving my food.

When my food came out the second time the fries looked the same and my wings were swimming in grease! I asked her for a plate so that I could get the wings out of the swimming grease. She could clearly see what was happening and didn't even both to ask me how I liked how my food turned out.

The real ticker was she then orders wings for herself and fries. Her food came out picture perfect. And ate them in front of me! I don't think she did that on purpose but could you imagine how I felt! Lol

I hate being this person but I rather write a review hoping no one else receives this kind of service. I did tip her because the way the food came out wasn't her fault. My bill was $55 that's wings , fries, a soda & a beer. I tipped her $10

I should have complained again after my food came out the second time. But didn't want to accept a refund. $55 plus the order I had them take back is a big loss for any business. I'm writing this review hoping they...

I'm a traveling superintendent. I eat and drink at a lot of places, but when I feel a connection with a place, it's my go-to. Well, tonight, that changed for me at this Jefferson location. I gave them all 5 star because I believe this review I'm going to give doesn't possibly exist to diminish that location, but the young girl that treated me tonight, I will never go back. I was up there for over an hour drinking bourbon on the rocks, I've told her in the past and during everytime use the same glass, don't dump the ice at to it. I drink doubles on the rocks. Well she dumped the ice, new glass, not cold, I tried to explain that bourbon drinkers like the same glass and keep the existing ice. I made a slight comment that you've served me over 5 times and has always remembered and I was , is everything ok, she got immediate defensive, I was like wow tried to defuse. Then I pulled the tip card. I tip 50%, I've been giving her 30 on 27 tab and I was seriously you don't remember your loyal customers and she claimed I've always gave her 10 to 5 bucks . I closed my tab, gave her , her 5 bucks and left the note on her receipt, the other 2 servers who recognized me, I heard them in the background, and there...
