I recently received an order that was undercooked. When I returned to the store, the employee handling the situation handled it poorly. He took each slice of my pizza and tore it in half to show me the cooked side of the dough, but didn't have anything to say about the uncooked dough other than "this is how we make all of our pizzas." From calling me a liar to saying that undercooked pizza is how they make all of their pizzas because of the sauce, I left feeling pretty disappointed, especially since this was only half of the order. The other pizza order was cooked. The undercooked pizza made some of my guests sick.
Anyone who has made pizza knows that this happens when you either over-top it or lay down too much sauce, cheese, and cook it at a low temperature. This is disappointing, as I have always had a great experience with Mountain Mike's, especially in the Bay Area.
I suggest that corporate provide franchise training on processes such as order returns, quality control, and, most importantly, customer service. The employee's solution was to offer me 25% off my next order, but I declined and asked for a refund. He said they couldn't do any refunds and that there was nothing he could do about it.

Read moreTerrible service. Waited 10 minutes to be helped and once we sat down and got our plates for the lunch buffet there was a half of pizza and 3/4ths of another. We were there for about an hour and no new pizza was added to the buffet. There was also a little girl who looked to be somewhere between the age of 5-7, she was behind the counter for a moment before going into the back through the employee only door to get someone to help the customers at the registers who had been there for at least 10 minutes before they were even noticed. While we were dinning we heard the girl crying in the back. I don't know if she's helping back there or what but that is very unsafe and unsanitary, it violates California laws and company laws too. Ending note as we were leaving there was still no new pizza and 2 more groups of people arrived and already sitting waiting for new pizza while the remaining pizza sat under the hot lap which made the pizza soggy in the center and crunchy on the edges. Read moreBeen here quite a few times. Pizza is usually on brand with any other mountain mikes. Ordered pick up tonight at 7:45 (hour and fifteen minutes before they close at 9pm). The girl who answered the phone seemed obviously annoyed I was placing an order.
I ordered my pizza well done. Double confirmed it’d be well done and she confirmed the order.
Came home after picking it up. It’s barely cooked. I’ve ordered from mountain Mike’s probably 100 times in my life and have never gotten a pizza like this. It wouldn’t even be considered regularly cooked.
They clearly put the pizza in halfway through the oven wanting to turn the oven off and leave an hour early.
(I worked at pizza places for many years I know the ovens are on conveyor belts and have an opening halfway for breadsticks). I also know it takes 30 mins for the oven to cool down before they can leave.
