I’ve been a regular customer at this Dunkin’ location for the past 3 to 4 months, stopping in almost daily before work. I always order the same drink: a Caramel Iced Coffee with liquid cream and sugar, whipped cream, and caramel drizzle. Unfortunately, the drink is never consistent. Some days it tastes great, but most of the time it’s watered down and missing flavor, especially the caramel. Despite this, I’ve never complained because I’m usually in a rush.
Today, I politely asked, “Can you please make sure whoever is preparing the coffee adds caramel?” I just wanted a drink that tasted right. The person taking my order, who I later found out was the manager, responded sarcastically with, “That’s what’s on the screen, right?” even though my drink is always rung up correctly and still made wrong.
When I pulled up to the window, I asked to speak with the manager and realized it was the same person. I asked instead to speak with the owner, who is usually respectful and understanding when I have concerns. After I spoke with him, the manager loudly commented behind the closed window about how I “come every day and cause problems.” I could clearly hear her.
I responded, understandably upset, and police were called. The officer didn’t take any action, likely because he knows how staff at this location can be. Still, the manager then decided to ban me from returning.
This experience and location is a joke. I’ve always been respectful, and all I wanted was a correctly made drink. If someone working in customer service takes offense to a customer politely asking for their order to be right, that’s a serious problem. As a manager, professionalism and communication are essential, none of which were shown here. I will GLADLY DRIVE TO DOVER DUNKIN to get a coffee that is made correctly without having to ask for it to be...
Read moreI don’t post negative reviews unless I give a business 3-4 chances to get it right and self-correct. Each time I’ve gone to this specific Dunkin they have gotten my order wrong. The 4th time, instead of going thru the drive-thru, I went inside only to be told that the order is correct after they looked in the bag. I showed them my receipt and items they gave and one of the women proceeds to tell me that ‘yea, this order is correct!’ I showed her the app from where I placed the order and paid; you guessed it, she died on the hill of wanting to be right. I said ‘ma’am, where do you see a bagel on my order? And where is the macchiato w/2shots?’ She looks closer and walks off with an attitude. Another woman sees what happens and, with grace and professionalism, replaces the items w/the ordered ones. The other woman who walks off w/an attitude as if ‘I’ got the order wrong sets a coffee (not a macchiato w/2 extra espresso shots) down on the counter and walks away. I sipped it and could tell that it was regular coffee. I sat it back down and walked away promising myself never to enter this establishment again. On the bright side, they are very fast (almost lightning speed) w/your order…maybe that’s the problem afterall…moving too fast and getting everything wrong. S.DuPont Dunkin SLOW DOWN!! People will appreciate getting what they paid for; and even when a mistake is made, let’s not argue with the customer when they have all the proof that YOU got the...
Read moreWhat an absolute terrible business! I went through two different interviews to get hired at Dunkin and they said I got the job on May 19th. I was excited and they told me to put in my two weeks at my old job. I did just that, stating I will start my orientation that next Friday. I went in on Friday for my orientation and sat for about 20 minutes. I was then confronted by the manager him stating he will call me in when he needs me, and will email me the schedule. A week passes and I hear nothing back from them so I call them up myself, in which the manager says I will receive a call in a day or two. Mind you all my paperwork is filled out including important information such as my ssn and bank account information. Another week passes and my two weeks are finally up at my old job and I receive no call. Dunkin insisted I put my two weeks in, yet left me jobless, while I have bills to pay. Do not ever work at Dunkin, they will leave you hanging. It is now July 9th and received no call from Himashu almost two months later. My mom even called the establishment and he claimed I was next on the list, which was completely false. The lady who hired me is very picky who they hire yet set you up for failure. I am very fed up and disappointed but should’ve...
