Handel's Homemade Ice Cream offers a great ice cream experience, regardless of the time of year. Handel's stands out with its irresistible flavors, creating a haven for genuine ice cream enthusiasts.

I will always be tempted by the rich, nutty delight of pistachio nut and the velvety allure of butter pecan. My two personal favorite ice creams where ever I go. Handel’s did not disappoint on these flavors.

Handel's transcends the conventional ice cream parlor experience, offering a menu that is a symphony of flavors not offered at many establishments. The cinnamon roll flavor is one of their most popular flavors. I am looking forward to trying the Coconut Almond Fudge Ripple or the Salty Caramel Truffle next. Which I can do, now that I found out they also have locations in Salt Lake City (where I am from)

But it is very likely my personal favorite will remain the butter pecan, I always seize the chance to explore new flavors. As I look forward to my next visit, I can't help but anticipate the pleasure of discovering more tempting flavors.

I try to maintain a dairy-free diet (but make an exception for an occasional ice cream or Mexican food). They do have some dairy-free vegan sorbets that sound wonderful. Perhaps I will try one next.

The staff maintained a warm and welcoming atmosphere, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to...

Awful experience. We have been to this ice cream shop many times. It is our go to place. After this experience we will never go back. When we got up to the window, we asked for an ice cream sundae, which is THREE scoops. When the young lady came out, the ice cream sundae was very skimpy and barely even TWO scoops. We told the young girl we were not happy with the sundae and asked her to remake it. She gave us a hard time and said she did it correctly, so we took her word for it, and instead asked her to remake it as a banana split. She then proceeded to go to the back room and never reappeared. She left us waiting outside for 30 minutes, which left all our to go ice cream to melt. A young man by the name of DAVID came out, and got in my face and my fathers face and said “you yelled at my employee who do you think you are?” We calmly and politely told him that is not the case and that we’ve been waiting here for 30 minutes. To say the least the customer service was awful and we were publically embarrassed by David. It was very uncomfortable. I will not support a business like this and will advise others I know to do the same. We asked to speak with the owner and they advised the owner will not talk or call us. The feeling we felt leaving this place was terrible and...

I teach a class where one of the warmup questions is, “What’s your favorite ice cream?” and more than a few students kept shouting “Handel’s!” like it was some kind of secret password. Curiosity finally won, and I had to investigate.

One recommendation was the “Not Your Average Dough,” and holy cow, they weren’t lying. This scoop was like an ice cream block party with chocolate chips, cookie dough, cookie dough flavored ice cream, and some kind of graham cracker situation that my taste buds still haven’t fully explained to me. Every bite felt like it needed its own fireworks display.

Because I’m a creature of habit, I got a second scoop of butter pecan. Normally that flavor never lets me down, but compared to the dough flavor it was like bringing a kazoo to a rock concert. Still good, just overshadowed.

Portions were generous, prices were fair, and honestly, you get a mountain of ice cream for what you pay. Safe to say the students were right, and I’ll be back to keep “researching” more flavors in the name...

I've been going here for years and I absolutely love Handel's! The line goes by super fast and the employees are always helpful and energetic–I appreciate that they're wearing masks and gloves to keep us all safer. The portion size is out of this world so you get the most bang for your buck. They also have a decent variety of non-dairy and vegan options! That said, there are so many other flavors and you really can't go wrong with any of them. It's a tough choice, but I would recommend the vegan strawberry, mango, graham central station and oree dough! The four scoop sampler is perfect to try out lots of flavors. Their cute decorations and holiday themed sprinkle cones always put a smile on my face! I never settle for getting ice cream anywhere else (except perhaps another Handel's store :)
