THE BEST CARD SHOP IN SAN DIEGO! I stumbled across Coastal Sports Cards & Collectibles in Carlsbad, CA when I moved to North County, San Diego in 2024 and I am so happy I found this awesome card shop. If you are new to collecting, getting back into collecting (like I did) or a seasoned collector this shop is a MUST visit.

The team is super friendly and knowledgable and puts the customer first regardless of your experience. I collected cards in the 90's and was interested in getting back into it but didn't know where to start so I walked into the shop. I got the full educational experience without feeling like any pressure to buy and fast forward to 2025 and I'm hooked! I have pulled a ton of awesome cards from this shop and just hit my first 1of1 SUPERFRACTOR card!!!!!

The shop runs online breaks as well via instagram so make sure to follow them as the breaks are fun and you will get to know other collectors vs just speeding through breaks to get to the next one.

I was in town when we stumbled upon this awesome new card shop! They had so many amazing options from blaster boxes to very rare autographed memorabilia.

The place was super clean and even had a space to open packs. They even provide mats so that you can lay out cards without damaging them! My son who is quite young enjoyed the 2 arcade games that were free.

The staff is very knowledgeable about cards, nice, and accommodating. The products were reasonably priced even for the rare hard to find packs, and I even got a few gems from their hanger packs! They also have Pokémon cards for those who seek them.

I love that the location is conveniently off of the main street and a quiet setting. They had tons of cards sorted by sport and price that you can flip through. I really appreciate how nice this place was and I will definitely come again.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience and I shouldn't probably post this so I can keep all of the cards to myself!

Coastal Cards & Collectibles isn’t just a card shop…. it’s basically Cheers for card collectors 🎵where everybody knows your naaame🎵. You walk in thinking you’re going to “just look around,” and suddenly you’re three packs deep into a Bowman break, laughing with a bunch of new best friends, and wondering how it’s already been two hours.

These guys make buying cards feel like hanging out in your buddy’s garage…. if your buddy’s garage had top-shelf wax, killer deals, and no weird smell. The vibe is unmatched. Everyone’s stoked for your hits, they roast you (lovingly) when you pull a dud, and somehow you leave feeling like you won even when you didn’t.

If you’re into cards, go. If you’re not into cards, still go… you might walk out a collector. Coastal Cards is the place. Just don’t blame them when you start explaining refractor parallels to your...
