I have been a customer since they opened and have had many good experiences here. However, the customer service is a real problem. This past week, I met a group of friends there. My group of friends had 7 people. There were a few tables around us that had about 6-7 people as well. There were maybe 30 people in the bar in total. It was a Tuesday afternoon, so Iâm sure the staff was unprepared for the coincidence of several groups showing up close to the same time. The wait time for drinks was about 12-15 minutes for bottled beer and 30-40 minutes for cocktails. That wasnât even what made us upset, though.
After the group beside us left, the rude bartender and ownerâs daughter were complaining very loudly about the comment card that had been left and about the customers being dissatisfied with the wait time and service. Why even give comment cards if you canât handle criticism????
The waitress was hustling. They were short staffed. Thatâs understandable. It was a Tuesday afternoon and several groups of teachers from different buildings had unexpectedly come in. However, it does not excuse rudeness and the unprofessionalism of talking negatively about the paying customers after they leave.
When my friend tried to approach the staff members who were talking so negatively (primarily the ownerâs daughter, Cara), she was met with complete rudeness and eventually yelling. The next day, they made a petty post on their Facebook page speaking of making reservations for 30+ people, implying what had happened the previous day was a group of 30+ people showing up together without a reservation. When in reality, it was just several small groups of people that just happened to all come around the same time.
Weâve been to Roscoeâs countless times since theyâve opened. Iâm very disappointed in the way they have chosen to make excuses for their behavior. Theyâve lost good employees, regular customers, and are losing more every time they choose immaturity, excuses, and pettiness over professionalism and...
Read moreFood was great, restaurant is beautiful, overall we were really pleased and will be back. That being said, there were a couple of issues. Our server delivered our appetizer with our meals, so we starved for 25 minutes and then received a starter that we couldn't start with. Our server seemed not to understand the issue, which is frankly shocking. I told her she could take it back and she explained she would have to ask her manager if he could remove it from our check. Fortunately he must have understood and removed it. Also the music did not fit the crowd or the time. Mostly middle aged customers at 6:00 pm and they played club music so loud we couldn't hear each other. As the employees were all much younger I can only assume they were playing it for their benefit, certainly the rest of us were not impressed. Like going to church and instead of a choir you get Nine Inch Nails. Read the room people!
Back again and the music is way, way too loud and our server doesn't understand how starters work. If you don't bring it before my meal, it's not a starter. I don't feel like queso for dessert, so... This may well be...
Read moreâ ïžNOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY PLACEâ ïž My wife, son, his friend, and I walked up and saw the no one under 21 sign on the door. My wife walked up to the bar to inquire about the sign. While doing so, another woman approached the remaining 3 of us and rudely exclaimed that no one under 21 was allowed. Another woman ran up and told her to stop because my wife was already inquiring about it. I suggested to the woman that got rude with me that they should change their name. In the industry, having âGrillâ in the name indicates that it is a family friendly establishment. The woman said I was being ugly about it. The second woman also got rude and told me to open my own place if I didnât like it. If I did just that, I assure you, theyâd be ran out...
