I have been a devoted Starbucks patron for many years, accustomed to a simple modification to my order: my coffee in a larger cup to prevent spills. However, my recent visit to the Starbucks on Parkside Main St in Cary, NC, was appalling. My standard request was flatly denied by the staff member at the window. Upon requesting the manager's intervention, I was met with nothing but rudeness and condescension. Such behavior is unacceptable in any customer service scenario, especially at Starbucks, a place I've patronized loyally. I'm also 9 months pregnant and caused me emotional and distressed for it was merely a request for a larger cup (willing to pay for the cup), yet the manager's handling of the situation was disgraceful. This manager clearly lacks the professionalism and customer service skills required for the role and should face disciplinary action, if not outright termination, for such poor conduct. As a shareholder, this experience not only sours my view of visiting Starbucks in the future but also makes me reconsider my investment in the company. If this is how loyal customers are treated, it's disheartening to think about the direction in which the...
Read moreI visit this location often since I live nearby. I placed my order via drive-through today in the pouring rain, and the awning over the order screen was inadequate--rain was still pouring into my car through the open window as I sat under the awning. The drive-thru menu STILL has a huge cinnamon shortbread latte ad listed on it, even though it's seasonal and they ran out weeks ago. I tried to order it last month and told an associate that it's still on their menu after she told me they were no longer selling it. Anyway, once I ordered today, I pulled to the window and paid with a gift card. The associate who rang me up left my refresher on the window sill, and then he walked away. Then, a different associate came to the window to hand me my food and my drink that was still sitting there, so then I had to ask her for my gift card to be handed back to me, since the previous associate did not hand it back to me. I also never get a receipt from this location and am not even asked if I want one. A receipt should be given to all customers without them having to ask for it first, especially when they...
Read moreI’m a nurse and frequently go though their drive through around 6:00- 6:30pm; although my order is usually correct it usually takes some time to get through this drive through. If you’re in a hurry around that time I recommend ordering ahead through the App. Furthermore, I always need to remind them to include a straw. I understand the social awareness around this issue and am empathetic towards our sea animals; however, taking my eyes off the road to drink a heavy trenta tea presents a clear hazard. I don’t always have the luxury of enjoying caffeine at work since I’m a nurse and very busy so my commute to work is the only guaranteed time I have to consume my drink. They rarely give napkins out with their sandwiches so also be prepared to ask them to include those as well.
edit ever since I wrote this I’ve been offered a straw...
