Has anyone ever been to No Cow Cafe on Fifth St in Castle Rock, CO? Wowza! I am SO very grateful that there is a store like this locally. I’ve just recently became gluten free and dairy free due to some gut issues. I have no clue how to eat anymore and thought I’d be without so many choices. After walking into the No Cow Cafe on Fifth St, and trying out some of their items (the chef himself gave us some taste test items) I was amazed! It was delicious! I no longer felt food deprived. The staff was so friendly and helpful! This chef definitely has talent in creating such healthy food for us to eat, especially when I have no clue how to bake things myself that are gluten free and dairy free. I can no longer eat the same breakfast as my husband, so it’s really awesome to know that when my husband goes to pick something up for himself, he can also pick up something for me at the No Cow Cafe. They have donuts, chocolate cakes, carrot cakes, croutons, breads, soups, pretzels, and so much more. I feel much safer with the food at No Cow Cafe rather than getting gluten free items at the grocery store that still have a ton of junk listed in the ingredients. My gut still can’t tolerate those grocery store items. At the No Cow Cafe, it’s like getting items that come right out of your own kitchen. The chef is so awesome! Please go check them out and support them- we need this place to thrive!

Went to No Cow Cafe the other day (just an FYI, they are only open Thursday-Sunday) went in told the person behind the counter was my 1st time, they gave me 3 sample to try, all of them were AMAZING! So here we are with a trough of goodies. The chocolate cake (looks like a muffin) is cake and is the icing just brings it all together, not overly sweet, the inside is VERY velvety and moist, but not liquidity at all, just kinda melts in your mouth. The strawberry cake, man... I could easily swallow a few of these and not feel bad about it. The icing is the perfect match of strawberry sweetness. It's my favorite by a long shot. The brownie, I'm a harsh critic on brownies. These did not disappoint, crunch on the outside, moist in the middle, gewy guts... perfect brownie. The poboy, strawberry, and blueberry have a consistency of a waffle and a cupcake mixed together. It's great! Colorado definitely has a few 5 star vegan spots, NO Cow has been added to my favorites list.

It concerns me to imagine that people might not go to No Cow Cafe if they aren't vegan or gluten-free. I'm neither vegan nor gluten-free and I love their food. Their mini-cakes, lemon bars, and cookies are favorites of mine, but I've never had anything I didn't like. Their gluten-free loaves of bread are potentially the best I've ever had and the people that own the place are very friendly and kind. Plus, if you're concerned with sugar intake, as far as I've heard from the owner, they use natural sweeteners in their baked goods, but you wouldn't notice the difference. All in all, this is a great place that I recommend checking out.

UPDATE: Clearly by the stores response they have no apologies for the complete lack of customer service.

Your associate wrote down the wrong time, but okay fine mistakes happen but even if he wrote 3 p.m. instead of 2 I didnt get them until 3:45 still 45 minutes after the said pick up time.

When I got there I was told the rolls are still backing at 3:15 it would be just a quick moment. Then I am told it will be 15-20 minutes. They "forgot" to filp them over to fully cook.

When I went to run another errand I return to two workers arguing. It was not a "discussion" at all as one is threatening to walk out. I felt more bad for the customers in the Diner awkwardly eating trying to not overhear them.

When the rolls where finally done they couldn't even figure out how to use the register. So yes at this point I was snippy. I asked how much the rolls are $9 each great heres a $20 I just wanted to get the heck out of there!

What a mess I ordered two sets of rolls for Thanksgiving and I arrived an hour after the pick up time and they where not ready. They where still in the oven and where put hot in bags so I am sure they will be soggy tommorow. It was also so pleasant to listen to there staff argue in back will not be returning gluten escape is...

Good vegan blueberry pancakes. Some may say small portions but so is the price! Get 2 orders if you’re real hungry. They put soy cream cheese icing on my carrot cake muffin so unfortunately I was unable to enjoy that.

Thanks for responding- we did immediately mention when we came in and placed our to-go order that I couldn’t have any soy but we were never told while we were there that there was a soy free icing option. That would’ve been great to mention while there at the counter for 5 minutes. (Took 30 minutes to get 4 pancakes)

I did feel while we were there that the owner lacked knowledge in vegan friendly and allergy friendly cuisine (although I do appreciate the option) and the fact they mention on a review reply that there was soy free icing and didn’t tell me while I there confirms my point. We arrived a few minutes after opening and there was only vegan carrot muffins and 1 type of donut to choose from for fresh baked goods. He told us when we walked in that it would be awhile to get other baked treats. Agree with other reviews that for a ‘bakery’ they don’t have much baked stuff prepared...
