Capizzi's Cheesecakes Pizza...and then some — Restaurant in Cathedral City

First and foremost this is a great little find, if you can find it. The food is great, I mean this is a postage stamp mostly take it and go with one table and two chairs inside. The food is great. It is not sloppy saucy italian, so if that's your jam, jam elswhere.

What you get is a nice sanwhich or salad, a good thin crust pizza and the best cheese cake in the desert. if you want candlelight I know a few places, check out my reviews. This is really good food. Not cheap by the way.

I will add the menu to the review but it is not 200 items. If you want to pick up lunch for the office, this is the place, nice treat for every one. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. the owner is usually there. It's a small business. If you like that idea great.

The vib is Chicago italian, not surprising that's the history of the owner. I supplies at least one other eatery with pizza and sauces. We think the pizza is a good a frozen pizza as you can get if a smallish thin crust is in your lineup. We ussually get the pepperoni and add our own sliced mushrooms to it. While your there pick up the frozen ravioli and sauce. Or the Lasagne. Its in the freezer case.

The desserts. Cheese Cake, Biscotti, oh my. Yes you need to get some it is so good. The Cannoli's, made to your order. You think biscotti is stale and hard and needs coffee. Try this.

This place is hard to find, you need your GPS and patience and trail finding skill. It's worth it. Really. Forget those 1-2-3 reviews, they just don't know. This is not fast food, it is real italian style eating that if you are east coast or Chicago (not deep dish), this place is for you.

It's pricey yes. In Cathedral City near the movies on 111, not visible from the street, its that new development area in downtown. Park walk...

I was walking by and saw this place so I decided to go in and see what this place was about, from the moment I walked in I was greeted by Ro and her husband Louie. They make you feel like family and such sweet people. They also take your picture and put in on the wall, so next time you come you can look for your picture.

They give you little samples of their cheesecake and let me tell you it's so hard to choose from because every one looks and taste phenomenal!! My personal favorite is the coconut pinapple cheesecake it's to die for, and their chocolate cheesecake as well, but then again all of them are great.

Don't get me started on their Cannoli's "Forget About It" the best I've ever eaten, no one in the Coachella Valley makes them as great as Louie, they put the ricotta filling in fresh when you order them, my favorite shell is the chocolate covered shell.

They also have pizza Fridays it's a must to try out their pizza it's made with love and taste great.

Trust me you won't be disappointed you need to check...

My wife and I were looking for a new place and special meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We contacted Capizzi’s to let them know we would be ordering via door dash the following day. We read such great reviews about the food and customer service. What we experienced throughout the process from communication to the quality of the food was even better than expected. They made sure we had a cheesecake set aside for us, asked if we wanted it sliced, and were very kind. We felt like our anniversary was just as important to them as it was to us. We ordered a vegetarian pizza which was very fresh, light and tasty! The cannoli was incredible. We bought a dozen biscotti for our morning coffee- nice portions of almonds and anise flavor that is very complimentary. Now for the cheesecake- AMAZING!!!
