Labor Day, 2023 Not real busy And AWFUL food and service!!! So, here it is Walk in and “they” pick a booth I prefer not to sit in so I pick my booth and was told they couldn’t seat us there because no servers assigned to those booths. Ok; I sit at a second choice and no sooner do I get my tea that someone is sat at the original booth I wanted!!! I do not like the “maitre d” picking my booth to accommodate her seating chart versus providing customers the comfort they wish to enjoy!! Waiter took the order in reasonable time HOWEVER the food took forever!!!! To long for a nearby empty parking lot at noon!!! My lunch special, cheeseburger and fries should NEVER have been served!!! The burger was pre-cooked and probably sitting in a grease pan because it was FULL of grease and ice cold that the cheese wouldn’t melt!!! And the 14 French fries were old and COLD!!! Yes, I counted 14 cold French fries!!! I sent it back and told the waiter to have the cook eat this garbage!!! And, I was finished; didn’t want another meal from that kitchen!!! So, fresh cooked - nope!!! Line cook or lead checked- nope!!! If I wanted the same meal again I knew all that cook would be doing is “microwave “ it and hand it back! Now, my rub with the server was that he NEVER got a manager to address my problem! That tells me this is a “frequent” kitchen issue The other grilled white fish was “COLD “ cream corn was straight out of the can and baby carrots microwave warmed!!! So: Atmosphere: 1-star for maitre d and seating ladies uncooperative attitude Service: 2-star because waiter lack guts or initiative to fix the issue with management Food: -5 stars for unbelievable cold dry food Kitchen: -5 stars for not caring enough to monitor what is being served to customers
This is NOT a place to enjoy hot fresh cooked meals. Our second try in four months and nothing has changed for the better!!!
This area has plenty of other great restaurants; we know because over the year we have had great lunch and dinners; just not this establishment!!!
I drove from Cincinnati for an awful meal with my son!!! Cheddar’s YOU should be embarrassed as a management team to lack concern for your kitchen staff and the poor, unsupervised meals, being served!!!!
BTW, as we were leaving, I asked for the manager and that “negative maitre d” said he was really busy
Thanks for NOTHING but three hours of wasted driving and...
Read moreCame in for dinner around 630 on a Sunday with my husband and son. Upon walking in, we saw several open tables outside. I asked the host if we could be seated outside and told her we would be willing to wait, and she said that people were just hanging out talking out there, they only had 1 server and asked if we could just sit inside instead. I said sure and asked if she could at least let me know when there's a table outside available and she agreed. Then a very nice waitress came up and asked for our drink order. I told her I was a few weeks sober from alcohol and asked if they could make me a virgin sangria. She walked away to ask the bartender and then came back and told me no, because the Sangrias are premixed. I did not understand how that had anything to do with them being able to make me a NA beverage, as the bartenders entire job is to mix drinks. A simple Googling of a NA Sangria recipe would have worked if they didn't know how to make the drink. Then after ordering our food, it took 30 minutes to get it and all my food was cold and my green beans were literally crunchy. I've ate Cheddars green beans for over 10 year and they have never been crunchy. The shrimp in my husband's pasta still had the tail on them. Who wants to put down their fork and dirty their hands to peel the tails off of their shrimp? Overall I was unhappy with my experience. Just seemed like most of the staff were in there just trying to get through their shift, which I understand because I have worked in the restaurant industry for 8 years but so much could have been done differently. Just wanted to say thank you to our server though. She was awesome and the only good thing about my experience, I wish I could...
Read moreThe food was good, the waitress was exceptionally attentive, the atmosphere was good. Even though it was very busy for a Wednesday night, we were seated in less than 10 minutes. It was a great dining experience at first, and we were talking about how we couldn't wait to come back and try other things on the menu. It is a beautiful restaurant. However, as we were leaving, I asked the greeter/hostess about a special I had seen advertised on a local social media site. A man in a military hat came over and informed me this Cheddars is a franchise, one of hundreds, and they all have different specials, and this restaurant did not have that special. He then proceeded to read me the menu, pertaining to the dinner I was inquiring about, asking if that cleared things up. It's not as much what he said, but how he said it. He was very gruff and condescending, talking down to me like I was ignorant for thinking a Cheddars advertisement for a special dinner price would be honored in this restaurant, in the same Neighborhood, (Neighborhood is also the name of the app), I saw the advert in. Maybe the man was having a bad day or something, but that was no way to speak to a customer, a potential repeat customer. People remember how you make them feel. My roommate and I eat out frequently, we're good customers and good tippers. I, in no way, shape, or form, mean any disrespect to a veteran, and I greatly appreciate his service, but we will not be back, and will not recommend. I would rather spend money where I am treated with courtesy and respect, which I did not feel from this man in the least. Somehow, I doubt that he will lose any sleep...
