Always have a problem with this one when I give specific instructions. Always an attitude that I'm the problem when I ask for fresh food even though I tell them that I'm willing to wait for it in the parking lot. I called the manager to see if it was personal or just her attitude.. It's the latter, gave me an earful and framed it as me being the a$$hole and bothering her with my petty problems and requests.
I've experienced this attitude several times, always rushing me off so she can keep her serv-time numbers down. (The time it takes to serve each customer through the drive through is averaged at the end of the day.)
I call her on the phone because, I myself work with customers all day and would want a chance to work things out with them before they call corporate.. She, (Lorrie Wegner), just gives up on the phone and tells me that is obvious that she can't make me happy and I should just call corporate. WTF!? Sorry you picked a career that's about customer service. Punishing customers just makes the brand look bad. This reflects on the territory director for picking bad people and then putting too much pressure on them to punish customers over $.05 worth of food because they can't figure out something or ask for feedback / clarity on an issue.
Other than that, I enjoy going there and love the remodel... As long as I don't ask for something specific, the food is hot and fresh.
One other complaint is that after the remodel; The new management had a problem with Linda too and ended up moving her to another store. Linda is great and it's always fun to see her yell orders and things. Great personality, she has disabilities but she doesn't let that stop her at all. I always love to say hi to her wait for what she'll say next or tell me about what's going on in her life. I still see her at the Wal-Mart near there and at the Wendy's over on Pecos and Arizona Ave. She works two low paying jobs just to cover her bills but now she has to travel several miles just to do the same job she did at this store. LAME! Will call the TD in the morning with these issues. Maybe this is just the corporate culture. When I worked for Wendy's I remember the manager making the biggest deal over food waste that he and staff had no control over. He would yell at the staff, not to waste food even though they were doing everything the way they'd...
Read moreTerrible. The most incompetent (or just flat-out lazy) employees I've ever seen. I live in this neighborhood and come here frequently out of convenience, but my order is always wrong. Literally every time.
Order an Asiago Ranch Chicken Club and you'll get a basic crispy chicken sandwich. Want a Baconator? Here's a double stack. Order nuggets? They'll forget to add them to your bag. The list goes on and on.
Years ago I once received a raw chicken sandwich from this place, and even swallowed a bite before I realized what I was eating.
Last night, instead of two Baconator combos which I ordered, I received a small cheese burger with ketchup and onions, and a double stack with bacon on it. When I returned the incorrect order inside the store, the employees tried to tell me I must have ordered a single patty Baconator. lol what? Then where's the bacon? I asked them if they needed help making a proper double Baconator because clearly no one knew how.
To their credit they remade both of our burgers, but I shouldn't have to argue with them about what constitutes a Baconator. I've eaten far too many of these things in my life to NOT know what they look like.
After coming to this location for 8 years now, it feels like this particular restaurant is cutting corners by withholding random customers' items.
You ALWAYS have to check your bag because 9 times out of 10 it'll be short an item. I'm not exaggerating.
Also, if you order a Son of a Baconator and a regular sized Baconator, we've noticed that almost every time they'll simply give you two Son of a Baconators. So I'm pretty sure it's just down to laziness.
What's ironic is, they have an acronym on the wall with the picture of a gator that says, "Get All The Orders Right." So, ordering errors are clearly a problem.
I love Wendy's, but I'm done with...
Read moreI can't give them more than 3 Stars on the categories except for 'Atmosphere'. They get 4 Stars for that. Everyone there is always welcoming. As for 'Food & Service', 3 Stars. The burgers & fries are somewhat unpredictable. I mean, that is what built Wendy's into a successful national brand, right? What's really bad is, if you have them delivered (I use Uber Eats) or buy at their driveway, you're rollin' the dice. On one delivery, I ordered my standard 'Dave's Double Meal'. I ordered a large Orange Fanta with my meal. Not only did they send a small carton of orange juice instead, it was ice cold and they bagged it on top of my burger. The burger was already cold when it got to my door. The bag is taped shut so you can't fault the delivery person. Beware post lunch hours visits. The burgers are almost certain to be warmed several times. A burger guy like me can can tell these things. That's when to eat there and tell the person at the counter that you want 'Fresh burger and fries only, please'.
I don't think the employees can be blamed. I checked Reddit and found many employees had the same concerns about working there. Many claims of watching videos for only 1 to 4 hours and being put on the line without much supervision. Despite the "It's just flippin' burgers" myth, there's actually a great deal that goes into making, serving and bagging the food to specs. It's not that easy in the beginning. Those employees should get a lot more training time and...
