Fiat Lux — Restaurant in Charleston

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Fiat Lux, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I truly appreciate the level of service and attention to detail provided by the staff here.

From the moment we arrived, Bri, our server, made us feel welcome and taken care of. She was attentive, friendly, and ensured that our experience was top-notch. Bailey, the bartender, was efficient and professional, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.

Dorcas and Brandon also contributed to making our time at Fiat Lux memorable. Their professionalism and warm personalities added to the overall positive atmosphere of the evening. It's clear that the team at Fiat Lux takes pride in what they do, and it reflects in the quality of service they provide.

I would highly recommend Fiat Lux to anyone looking for a great spot in Charleston. Whether you're there for the stunning views or the outstanding service, you won't be disappointed. I look forward to...

Our trip to Charleston was a last minute idea. We wanted a short get-away from our town near Charlotte, NC. This review is of the rooftop bar at Hotel Bennett. The views are what I was looking for. I also wanted some small plates (I’m not into alcohol, they have a nice bar, most folks were having drinks, but my husband ordered a lite beer). We decided on the black angus smash burger, the Caesar salad (be forewarned, this one actually comes with full size anchovies on top). Our server Nora was wonderful, she made our visit much more memorable, as foodies, we have much experience here, we did kindly convey to her that even a fraction of the anchovies would have been sufficient). Ooof! It over powered the salad. The tuna tartare was also pretty good, too. It’s served with crackers. I inquired about a future stay because I was watching carefully and noting the staff at Hotel Bennett. They go above & beyond.

We plan on coming back to experience more of what this fabulous hotel...

I excitedly went to this rooftop with some friends for one of our girlfriends' birthdays. We sat on the patio and were completely ignored while others were getting service around us. I finally went to the bar to order a round of Prosecco and had a friend help me carry the drinks out. These were served in cheap plastic wine glasses... while everyone else (even on the patio) had nice glasses. We came back to the table and the previous group's drinks still had not been cleared. We stopped a waiter and asked for some waters and he acted extremely bothered. We couldn't help but feel that even though we were dressed up (not that it really matters), we were being treated differently because we were young and presumably not big spenders. As young women who work hard for our money, we can't stomach going back to this place. It's a shame, too, because the view was beautiful. Not enough to deal with this...
