Definitely wouldnât recommend especially with all the places to grab coffee near by. Went two days in a row having a incredibly positive experience the first day - order two shots of espresso over ice with a small splash of milk which the manager completely understood what I was asking for and made it perfectly (shout out the manager that was on duty that day!). Went back today, Saturday the 3rd, around 3:30 and went to order three shots of espresso over ice with a small splash of milk and a scone. The girl talking the order grabbed the cup for a hot shot of espresso and I was like can I please have it iced she goes oh yah what did you want again? And I explained to her my order again only for her to go so a latte, which I said no espresso over ice. She looked me dead in the eye and goes âI just want to let you know because you seem confused but espresso with milk is a latte.â How icky!! So she put the order as a latte because I was done trying to explain that espresso can be put over ice WITHOUT a full cup of milk. Anyways the latte came out, I didnât take it then explained to the girl making the coffee what I wanted - she was once again confused on a âsplash of milkâ finally I just said put the espresso over ice without milk if itâs difficult to understand. Also the sugar shaker has...
Read moreCute, cozy coffee shop in the heart of Charleston. Thankfully they had some outdoor space to enjoy their drinks because it was very tight quarters inside due to the steady stream of customers. I had the hot chocolate which was excellent, and my friend had the coffee, which he said was one of the best cups he's had (he said that that was high praise as he's a former cop who worked the night shift and has drank more than his share of coffee over the years). The breakfast sandwiches are premade, so you only get a choice of what's left by the time you show up. That was maybe the only minus to the place but since most people go for the coffee I don't think it's worth...
Read moreReally great pastry selection, however, the staff seemed to be overworked. I know staffing issues are happening everywhere but based on what I saw the barista was working with only 1 group head. As a barista myself I know that's simply not adequate to keep up with a busy Saturday morning rush. The other barista seemed to be learning on the job and on the brink of a meltdown- and I'm not bashing them- I would've been in the same position. I just hope the staff is taken care of/ paid living wage considering the situation they were working in. I removed a star because management seemed to have failed their staff a little the...
