I was visiting Charolette for a concert on 5/18-5/19 and on my way to the spectrum center I decided to stop by and grab some desserts to eat afterwards at my hotel. The inside is very nice and open and they had a lot of options, unfortunately I did not try any drinks. I am a culinary major in college and have dabbled in some baking and pastry so their options caught my eye. I had an almond croissant that was still soft and flakey even after being in the hotel fridge for a few hours. My chocolate mousse cupcake was amazing, not too dry and not overly moist, the frosting was very cold and slightly hard from the fridge but after biting into it, it was still very soft and creamy. My friend ate a double chocolate chip cookie and said it’s one of the best cookies she’s ever had. I paid about $4-$5 for a single doughnut, and it was worth every single cent. I do not remember who helped me but she was very sweet and patient with me, they had a good sized selection of truffles and I decided to take some home to my mom, which was about a 5 hour drive and the o lt thing I could keep good for that long. She went through every single flavor they had at the time and took her time serving me, I did not feel rushed at all. If I am ever back I will definitely be stopping by and get one...

This was my first experience here, and I would give it a better rating had I not seen a roach in the cookie case crawling on the cookies. The worker then killed it inside the case, then began to remove them after about 10mins, after selling a few to some customers that came after I brought that to their knowledge. They removed the cookies but left the macaroons which are stored in the same case, I had to tell the workers that everything in that case was contaminated and it would be wise to get rid of the macaroons as well. Also I never saw a sanitation score, an from the over flowing trash cans to the dirty floors and tables. The workers had plenty of time on their hands to keep the bar looking it’s best. It’s very disappointing and honestly this is something you never would’ve expected from a 5 star hotel or any of it’s attched attractions. The part that really disturbed me was that the worker actually sold cookies were the roach was crawling...

It's a special treat when I stop in... And as soon as I walk in, I felt like I'm in someone's home. It's more than being polite and efficient... They go above and beyond to learn my name. And, when I do have the time to go in... It's usually on my day's off when I haven't showered and wearing whatever I wore to bed the night before. So, I definitely don't look like I belong in a fancy hotel and they treat me like I just walked out of their presidential suite. Evette is definitely the best! Everyone is great... But she is the best. She makes the best cappuccino you will ever have and is so friendly. The breakfast sandwiches are a must! The croissant it comes on it so buttery and soft. I highly...

You’ve gotta check out Bar Cocoa in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina – it's seriously awesome! 🙌 First off, when you walk in, you're hit with this chill, cozy vibe that just makes you want to hang out. It's got this cool mix of comfy seating and stylish decor that makes it the perfect spot for a laid-back coffee date or just some solo work time. And speaking of coffee, their brews are top-notch! I tried their cappuccino, and it was like a little cup of heaven. They know their coffee stuff here, for real. Bar Cocoa is the spot to chill, enjoy great coffee and eats, and soak in some good vibes. If you're in Charlotte, don't miss out – swing by Bar Cocoa and thank me later! ☕🥑🍰👍

I had heard such good things about the desserts here so we decided to stop here one night after a show. I'm not sure if I didn't order right, but I wasn't very impressed. I got a few different macarons and a strawberry balsamic eclair. My husband went for gelato. All of mine was just ok. My husband said he liked the gelato. The prices are a little pricey which I was expecting. I might come back to give it a second chance, but after my first time there, there are other bakeries in Charlotte I prefer over this.

This place is a grown ups candy store. It's delicious blends of coffee and decadent pastries and hand crafted confections will open your eyes wide and have you salivating at all the brightly colored goodies. Simple as cookies or as complex as the exotic chocolates that color your taste buds a rainbow of sweetness. I stumbled upon it uptown now I purposely seek it out. It's a guilty pleasure paradise. Awesome Eats!
