I just wanted to say after you read my review you would be pleased to know that I was contacted by the general manager and advised this is not how this restaurant does business. The managers of this location were floored when they received my complaint and fixed it immediately. I will be changing my stars from this location to a five because management fixed the problems that impacted me most. I'm sending this message because I am disabled and there was no visible parking to accommodate my needs. I called into the restaurant and spoke with Evan who states he is the manager of this location to advise that I could not find a parking spot to accommodate my handicap. He then advised me that a parking deck would be my only option regardless of my disability. He laughed and shrugged my concerns off as if he did not care. A customer heard my concern regarding my disability and parking issue and advised they were about to leave and I could have their spot. I proceeded to park and go into the restaurant as it was a birthday surprise for my daughter. We entered the restaurant and was not even acknowledged until almost ten minutes later and then advised that at 1:30 in the afternoon we needed a reservation even though your outside patio was empty and had only one customer. I advised at that point that your website did not advise that a reservation was needed to dine at lunch for a burger and fries and was told I would have to wait 30 minutes to be seated. The only patrons being seated at the time I observed were white men and women. I only saw one black woman patron within my view who was seated eating lunch at the bar. I am business owner myself and would never make anyone feel so unwelcomed in my establishment. I guess I should have never picked this white location as blacks were not welcome as patrons. I'm hungry upset and disappointed by the racist behavior I experienced at this location as the other locations in my city never treated me and my daughter this way. I was only coming to lunch to celebrate my daughter birthday and because I received a loyalty email regarding the burger which is her favorite. I will say my typical bill amount at your establishment is over a hundred dollars food tip and drinks with myself and a friend twice a week to speak business. I will never recommend this location ever in my life by how I was treated. I wish my husband was white in this moment because it seems if you are not white you have no business here unless you are the help! Sorry to say racism still exists in this fine city I was born and raised in. Guess green is not the...
Read moreMy wife and I went for our anniversary dinner. We made a reservation online and were seated as soon as we got there. We were offered a table or a booth for our seating choice. We let the host pick for us as we're typically pretty laid back. We got sat at a table right near where the kitchen was, but also was by their door to the outside from the kitchen area, I would imagine this is where the deliveries come in. The staff kept going in and out and opening the door, so a draft of cold air was coming in. It wasn't unbearable but it was enough to be annoying.
Our waitress was very nice and friendly. We ordered a couple drinks. My wife didn't like hers and opted for a different one without out any pushback from our waitress, she even admitted that the drink first ordered wasn't popular. We ordered the deviled eggs and seared tuna for appetizers. They were both good and brought out in a timely manner. (Kudos to the kitchen for being able to cook the tuna through and not just sear). My wife ordered the tuna salad and I ordered the NY strip medium rare and the baked potato. I had a view of the kitchen and saw my steak be set in the "waiting to be served" area. We were still eating our appetizers. I think it sat there for about ten minutes or so (I didn't count, but it was up there for a bit of time.) - the main entrees were brought up before we finished our appetizers, not a big deal, but I do know some people are particular about this detail for dinner. The tuna salad was prepared nicely and had 0 issues. My steak appeared to be cooked properly upon being brought to the table. I cut in to it and had a few bites, thought it was a little under cooked, but still edible, I got about a third of the way through and it was getting more and more raw/undercooked. The manager that evening came by the table and said, "oh yeah, that's raw." - they proceeded to take the steak back to have it cooked more through. I was asked if I wanted to keep my baked potato at the table, which I said sure, had a few bites of that, it wasn't over the top. The remaining part of my steak was brought back after maybe 5-10 minutes, it came back charred on the outside and ended up being a bit more medium than medium rare. I finished the steak as to not waste it.
We were brought an anniversary dessert which was a nice gesture, but I don't believe that it was intended to make up for the...
Read moreThis dinner was a rollercoaster of emotions for everyone present. At the beginning, I was impressed by the atmosphere, they had many bottles of my favorite liquor, Midori. We had a reservation, but had to wait approximately 23 minutes to actually get seated. By this point I was a bit worried that I was not going to be served as I was parched due to my walk beforehand and was looking to quench my thirst. After we were sat, we waited an astonishingly 46.5 minutes. But, before we were depressed and thirsty enough to leave, an angel sent from Heaven itself arrived. Aven. Give this man a raise because he saved the experience for us. Other waiters ignored us and did not want to serves us, but not Aven. We got our drinks fast thanks to Aven, and he even cracked a few silly jokes to bring up the moral. If I were to get drafted to war, I would want Aven in the trenches with me. He gave us two free appetizers, and the philly cheesesteak egg rolls were amazing. The seared tuna was probably good I didn't eat it though. The margarita was also very good, which is surprising because I usually hate margaritas (i love Midori). Our food was also very delicious, and the foodrunners forgot our ranch, but of course I had faith in Aven. Not even a second later, Aven had arrived to save the day, with ranch in hand. My firebird burger was delicious, and so was the hot honey chicken sandwich. My father had gotten the filet mignon, but since I do not like steak I will not comment on that but he seemed to enjoy it (he has no emotions I cannot tell). Now the holy grail on my fathers plate was his loaded baked potato, which is also Aven’s favorite (of course, amazing taste). The potato’s skin were perfectly salted and delicious. My father almost asked for more butter, until we discovered the amazing core of the potato. Layers of melted butter, sour cream, chives, and bacon bits were to die for. If Aven is not at my weddding serving Firebirds loaded baked potatoes, I’m leaving at the altar. So, in conclusion, give Aven a raise, he is the reason to go to Firebirds and he is the saving grace of the entire restaurant. Give Aven a free massage coupon or something because I know he’s struggling carrying the entire restaurant. Thank you for reading, I will only return if the entire restaurant is...
