Visited the Charlotte store today and had the worst experience. Never have I ever understood, personally, what it means to be racially profiled and discriminated against until today . In addition to my horrible experience at the South Park location, it was so disappointing to go in the store and see your company isn’t reflective of the individuals, values, and cultures on your site. It’s easy to profit off of the image of black people but yet you have a problem with them in your stores. Words are not adequate to describe this amazing store. You must visit and you will become a fan for life! Designers and stylists around the world shop for themselves and for their clients because no other store compares to their buyers' ability to choose the best pieces from the best designers each season, many exclusive to Capitol. The staff is simply wonderful, making you feel comfortable in this gorgeous store while styling the perfect outfit head to toe, accessories and all, or finding one special piece to go with things you have in your closet. I've shopped extensively in LA and NY, but never faced the kind of racial profiling I experienced at this boutique in Charlotte over the weekend. Touted as one of the top women's boutiques in the area, it was disappointing to find a lack of local designers, no diversity among the staff, and an unwelcoming atmosphere.
