We came for our reservation on time and was told the kitchen was backed up and expect a wait of an hour. When our waiter came he introduced himself and began to remove the extra plates (seated for 4 to leave 2), the plates in front of us I might add. He did not shift the plates further from us, so we had to do it ourselves. We placed our complete order (which included appetizers and drinks), he said he would bring our bread and water. 10 minutes later we received our appetizers, from either a server or busboy. We had to ask him for our bread and water. Two minutes after, our entrees came (still no drinks). Our bread came 1 minute after that. It was frustrating because we had so much on our table. The manager saw me searching for our waiter. I informed him that we received everything at once and still did not have our drinks. He apologized and got our drinks and comp it. We began eating the food, which had potential to be delicious, but unfortunately some things were cold and not seasoned well. The shared mash potatoes and asparagus, were not seasoned and almost cold. The apps (crab cakes and calamari) were warm and delicious. Our entrees were good. The shrimp and steak could have been season better as it had too much pepper (shrimp) and not enough seasoning (steak). I had a margarita that was watery due to it sitting at the bar I’m assuming. Overall the staff was friendly, the decor and cleanliness was up to par. It was our first time and I am not sure I would want to go back. It was between Eddie Vs and Fleming’s, I was really hoping for a wonderful experience. However, our first visit left a lot to be desired and made me feel I should of went with the other option. I will say we had to move our time a month early from 8pm to 9pm (due to a prior engagement) but if the restaurant is to close at 10pm, then maybe the last reservation should be 8:30pm, as to not rush the patrons out or the food. I understand ppl want to go home. But also understand the hours given to the patrons should be taken into consideration. So the time we choose should not prevent us from having an amazing dining experience. Because it’s an option given by the restaurant and an option that worked with our schedule at the time and date.

As a Charlotte resident for over 28 years, Fleming's Steakhouse has become one of my absolute favorite spots, and it never disappoints! Whether it's a large family gathering in their intimate small-party room, a special dinner with my parents, or a relaxed evening with my grandparents, this place consistently delivers top-tier experiences. But what truly sets Fleming's apart is the exceptional service provided by Larry. We always request him, and he has become a cherished part of our dining experience. Larry is, without a doubt, the best waiter I've ever encountered, not just at Fleming's but anywhere. His enthusiasm, deep knowledge of the menu, and sheer passion for the restaurant are unparalleled. He’s incredibly entertaining, making each visit memorable and special. Larry is a bright light in the dining world, and I feel lucky to have him take care of us every time we visit. The restaurant's location is perfect, tucked in the corner of the Epicenter, now the heart of the Queen City. Convenient parking options, including valet and self-parking in the underground deck, make it easy to get there. The iconic Fleming's sign out front is perfect for a family photo, capturing memories of a fantastic night. As for the food, Fleming's never misses. My go-to is the filet mignon, cooked to perfection at medium, paired with their mouth-watering bacon Brussels sprouts. The Fleming’s famous potatoes are a must-try—thinly sliced and soft, bathed in a delectable, cheesy goodness. And the desserts? Absolutely divine. The crème brûlée and the three-layer lava ganache cake, served with fresh berries, are the perfect sweet ending to a perfect meal. Tonight's visit was another outstanding experience, and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. If you go, make sure to ask for Larry—he's not just a waiter; he's family to us now, and I know he will make your visit just as extraordinary as ours!

I recently went to Flemings for my wife's birthday, made reservations and all was well. When we got to the restaurant, we were quickly seated and the restaurant is still the same aesthetically with the modern decor and the loud conversations where you can't hear the person next to you. However, once we get past that then we started have issues with service. I realized that they were busy that night, however our server was slow and took about 10 -15 minutes before he came over to our table. He was attentive when he when there but his jokes fell flat and there were too many of them. Since we're familiar with the menu, the options were easy. We went with the Calamari for appetizer and I had the Main Filet Mignon, my wife had the Sea Bass and my daughter had the short ribs. Everyone agreed that the meal was good; my steak was cooked to order but it was missing some flavor and butter to hit the mark. My wife enjoyed her Sea Bass and my daughter liked her Short Ribs with Risotto. Again, service was slow and we would see our waiter about every 15 minutes which was annoying but again, it was a busy night. Our last visit to Flemings was remarkable in every sense, but overall things felt flat and we were ready to leave before my wife got you compliment dessert for her birthday. In total, we spent about 3 hours here and that's about 40 minutes too long. I do recommend Flemings for special occasions but there are better options in Charlotte such as the Capital Grille, Del Frisco's or Eddie V's. I hope your experience is better than ours!

I'm really disappointed in our son's graduation dinner. Had heard good things about Flemings and wanted a really special dinner. Unfortunately, I spent way too much money for horrible service and rushed out the door. We were a table of 5, no alcohol drinks, and our bill with tip was close to $790. Our waiter was nice, but not a professional waiter. My experience with high-end steakhouses (Halls in Charleston, Ruth Chris, nyc, Charlie's in Orlando FL. Etc. ) the wait team is usually a well-oiled machine. Not here. Our waiter rushed us the whole way. We were not sitting down for more than 5 minutes when he came over and asked if we were ready to order. Did not highlight or recommend anything on the menu. Did not explain cuts of meat nor how the meat was cooked. Rare, cold red center, medium rare red through out and warmed center, etc. We asked him to come back so we could have more time to look. He was back 3 min later asking again. We felt so obligated to order that we put in for a starter and a salad. The waiter put in our starter order and then came right back to take our main order. At that point, two more salads were ordered, and our main dishes were. Our calamari and one salad came out, and calamari was not crispy. 10 min later, the 2 other salads came out, and my husband's appetizer came out. We were hardly done with salads and apps, and our food came out. The food team had no clue who had what, and every single plate was put wrong, so we had to pass our food around to the right person. My husband's filet was the wrong filet size. He ordered bone in 14 Oz and got the 8 Oz petite. We had to call the waiter over because the person who put it down said, " I don't know what you ordered." The waiter was attentive to drink refills, which was a good thing. Small soda/water glasses and way too much ice. Paid $5 for seltzer water from bar spray gun. If it was 4 Oz, that would be generous due to all the ice in the drinks. My son was pacing himself eating, and the waiter kept coming to clear his plate every time he paused longer than 3 minutes. Finally, my son told him, "No, please, I'll let you know when I'm finished." We ordered desserts and coffee. Again, food was very tasty, but the waiter literally brought each dessert out separately with about 2 minutes in between to bring each one out. It literally took our whole table 10 minutes to get all our desserts from the first dessert served. Coffee was Luke warm, and a 1/2 cup for 6 dollars. We had to send coffee back to be warmed up to hot. Again, the waiter came and kept asking if we were done. We had to send him away. We were all getting really annoyed he was rushing us. The place was not full, at all, plenty of tables, and no one was waiting. So, really, no reason to rush us. We were in and out in an hour and 15 minutes. So rushed. We will pass on Flemings the next time we come to Charlotte, and I wouldn't recommend due to service. Again, food was excellent, but service was a real disappointment for how much...

Happened to be spending Christmas alone this year. I'm a transplant from Pennsylvania. Its been a rough year on top of my 7 year relationship ending completely the week before today. Honestly I had very little Christmas spirit at all. I had spent Christmas Eve at this restaurant previously and it was a wonderful and calm way to spend Christmas eve before going to church. I cheked the website and confirmed the Christmas Eve hours. They were perfect for the late mass at St. Peters. I then called this afternoon and confirmed that they had no reservations remaining, but they were taking walk-ins. The employee explained the seating options and confirmed they were open until 10:00. The person that I spoke with was so kind and I honestly felt a little excitement and had something to look forward to. I arrived at 840 and walked in to the lobby. As expected the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. Calm, warm, and inviting, exactly what I needed. After a brief wait an employee came over and asked how many and was preparing to seat me. Just as I was about to be taken to a seat a man in a santa suite (how ironic...) came up and explained to the waiter they were closed. Santa explained to me that the kitchen was closed and he was sorry for any inconvenience. I explained that I called when they opened and was told that they were accepting walk ins and were open until ten. Santa was professional but simply reiterated that the kitchen closed at 8:00. I told him I was completely alone tonight and just wanted a nice meal. Santa explained all these people were the aftermath of the evening and the best he could do was a coupon. Santa explained that STK AND Eddie V's might be open. I looked at santa and hoped he would have a shred of Christmas kindness. Nope.... I went to STK and found a really great server, great food, loudish dance mix, and a trendy cold non relaxing environment, and paid more than planned for my Christmas Eve alone. Probably the coldest experience I've ever experienced at a restaurant. Last Christmas I was here I tipped 50% considering all these incredible men and women were working and serving me on Christmas. I certainly would have gone above and beyond if I would have been accommodated. Please do better and ensure that you are clear and concise with posted hours online and with staff. The website, the staff member on the phone, and the original person that greeted me had no clue you were closed. Par for the course I suppose....

Update: Management from the Business reached out to follow up on the situation. Manager was kind, honest, and quite frankly didn't try to make up any excuses. Management approached the follow up with honesty, humility, and tact. They did offer several solutions to make the situation right. They even offered one more follow up after they do some more investigating. I'm truly disappointed in the staff member for having not one shred of human decency in this situation. Hopefully he learns a small lesson on compassion and...
