This was my first visit to a Salata. I chose a wrap with the expectation that I would pay $10 (before tax) for my lunch. I was shocked to see that I was charged $3.50 for falafel and quinoa. $3.50 for each of these things. This wrap cost me $20 after tax. The cashier did apologize that I was not informed of the extra charges and offered me a free drink and said she’d coach the employee who didn’t tell me that there was extra charge for these “proteins”. It would’ve been nicer if she’d simply taken the charges off. But what I really want to say to upper management is this: quinoa is not anywhere near a “protein” in the same way chicken or shrimp is. The protein content is a fraction to that of meat. Nor is it anywhere near as expensive. Nor does it require much work to prepare. There was no extra charge for edamame which has higher protein content than either quinoa or falafel. There should not be an extra charge for quinoa, which is arguably as affordable as rice. I can understand falafel a little more, as it does require preparation. It almost feels like you’re taking advantage of people here by calling Quinoa a protein just to catch all the vegans and vegetarians who would otherwise escape your markups. Please consider making changes to your costs. I really can’t justify going back to Salata if I’ll have to pay additional fees for basic grains.

I had my first experience with Salata today. Overall the ambiance is great and the place is very clean. I piled on the veggies in a regular sized salad. The ingredients are fresh and a small size will easily fill someone up. I added the turkey and it was pretty tasty. I tried the ginger lime dressing and it was a bit bland. I wouldn't recommend it. I have a small observation regarding customer service. When I walked in the restaurant, I was not greeted by the woman adding the lettuce to my order nor by the man adding protein to my salad. They both looked at me and the woman finally asked if I was going to have a salad or a wrap. People will forget what you say, but will remember how you make them feel. I would recommend that they train their employees to ensure that everyone provides great customer service. Many companies will return to their Uptown offices at the start of the year, including mine, and I would like to see this restaurant succeed. Overall, I'd recommend this place for a great salad.

This was our first time at Salata, and it definitely will not be our last!! What a great experience from the customer service to the fresh ingredients. I particularly enjoy and want to note the ability to sample before you place something on your salad. When I asked for suggestions, she quickly provided me with options but said please feel free to sample. I will say, if you are looking for a cheap, quick healthy meal, you will be disappointed in the price as it was pricey for two small salads, 32$. But the small salads were filling and plenty. All in all, well worth it for the Mrs. And I. We will be back. Job well done, and my compliments again to the service we were given.

EDITING AFTER CONTACT: I was contacted a few days later and they helped sort through the situation. They issued a full refund and helped me understand the issue. The main issue was the third party delivery service. THANK YOU CORPORATE for fixing this!

FIRST REVIEW: We ordered for a catering event on March 3rd for my company. After the order was placed, the delivery time updated to 2 hours after needed. Once we realized, we called the location and spoke with the manager and described the issue. The manager understood and verbally cancelled our order and said a refund would be processed. I received a phone call and text from the 3rd party delivery that it was cancelled.

I have called once a week since then to try to get this refund of over $200+ processed as it has STILL not been processed. I've called corporate. At this point, even though the food is fantastic, the customer service is not helpful. We won't be ordering catering again from this location due to this delay of...
