During my recent visit to Thai House, I decided to explore their menu and ordered a variety of dishes. While the overall experience was decent, there were some ups and downs that affected my overall impression.
Let's start with the positive. The vegetarian soup I ordered was delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, and the broth had a comforting quality to it. It was a delightful way to begin the meal.
Moving on to the Shrimp Platter, I was disappointed by the dish. The shrimp itself was tasty, but unfortunately, it was overly oily, which detracted from the enjoyment. Additionally, the vegetables accompanying the platter were not as fresh as I had hoped, dampening the overall experience.
Next, I tried the basil fried rice, which had a pleasant aroma and an appealing presentation. The flavors were rich and the rice was cooked to perfection. However, I must warn those with a low tolerance for spice that the dish was a bit too spicy for my liking. While it may appeal to those who enjoy heat, it might be overwhelming for others.
I also ordered the chicken red curry, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The flavors were not as enticing as I had hoped, and the spiciness was overpowering. It lacked the balance and depth I usually look for in a red curry dish, resulting in a less-than-satisfactory experience.
Finally, I sampled the pineapple paneer fried rice. The combination of sweet pineapple and savory paneer with fragrant rice created a delightful medley of flavors. It was a satisfying and enjoyable option for those seeking something different.
Overall, my experience at Thai House was a mix of highs and lows. The delicious vegetarian soup and the flavorsome pineapple paneer fried rice were definite winners. However, the Shrimp Platter's excess oil and less-than-fresh veggies, along with the spiciness of the basil fried rice, detracted from an otherwise...
Read moreStill sporting a mask, I've been venturing out more than regularly. My friend was getting there phone repaired and he was told that the wait might be as long as 45 minutes to and hour. Went into another store and bought a few items. As I was stowing away my purchases, they asked if I had ever eaten at the Thai House. I responded in the negative, but said let's take a look at the menus in the window. From the outside, the restaurant looks very small, but as we entered and looked around, you noticed how large of a rest of a restaurant it really is. Masks were required until you were seated. This whole area was handicap accessible as was the entire restaurant. The restrooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. There were even small live plants placed in the restrooms. The service and the food was absolutely outstanding. We were checked on by no fewer than 3 different staff-members. All of the lunch specials were served with soup and a spring roll as well. The soup was a rice and vegetable mixture, that was served in its own broth. The spring roll was crunchy on the outside and maintained its interior moistness. I ordered the traditional Pad Thai with pork; though you can also order it with chicken, beef or seafood, if that's your personal preference. My friend ordered Kai Cashew. Both of these dishes were cooked to perfection. You could taste each one of the individual ingredients. The plates were nicely served with fresh garnishes accompanying them. This particular restaurant would make a very nice addition if you enjoy dining experiences. They are open for brunch as well on the weekends. 2 complete meals, and authentic Thai beer and tip was 30$. And exceptional price in my book. The walls were covered with beautiful authentic, Thai hand carved wooden artworks. If you took the time to read this review, please take a 1/2 second and click...
Read moreMy wife and I already had bad experiences here where their rice isn't so fresh and some of their food are too oily. Today, rather this morning we were just giving prayers to this place for great people, cooks lovin their work and people feeling great before we called and tried to place an order. That's right, "tried". My wife called and no answer at 11:05am then waited 15 mins and called again, they picked up and hung up. We decided to go order in person since we're on the way to pick up mom's medicine at walgreens. My wife is a diabetic type 2 extremely uncontrolled but we manage to stabilize a bit and if she needs something, she needs it! After picking up the meds we went into Thai house and place an order. They answered calls right in front of us too. When we were charged over $14 my wife said "don't tip" (she knows I like to tip $15 or more to pass on the love but with this place, no.) And I knew I wasn't going to because I wanted to see if their genuine and they weren't because the price is not as advertised as you can see in the pics.
So, beautiful people! You're already giving your money to financial crooks, don't give it bad business. For that same price, I'll go to fortune cookie on independence blvd and place an order. Its a hole in a wall joint, their fried rice is amazing, not too oily, it has bean sprouts, green onions and eggs in it, unlike most places who put them nasty peas and carrots in them, I recommend their hot wings because it's a hint of sweetness and a hint of spicy or more to your liking. Anyway, in my spirit, I'm still jumping for joy with prayers of winning the lottery is God's intentions as well as mines for me, wife and mom to better our health and situations and prosper with our finances and get into position to possibly help a whole lot of people to do the same. Amen!...
