Detello's — Restaurant in Chaska

I have always loved their food and eating there. BUT I was kinda disappointed last week. I ordered dine in, everything vegetarian with appetizers and salad (other people in my group order meat sauce). For my main meal I ordered tortellini with plain red sauce, no meat. We waited quite some time for our food, which is fine because it was busy. When it arrived mine was covered in meat sauce, I asked for one without and the waitress said okay and that she would take mine and throw it away. Someone else at my table said they’d take it home so it wouldn’t get wasted and the waitress said, no unless they want to be charged for it. I then proceeded to wait another 20 minutes for my food, but it came as ravioli instead of tortellini. No discount was offered or given. It’s sad when restaurants throw out so much food, but when they made a mistake and someone was will to take it home to reduce waste, they wanted to charge him. Detello’s Pizza and Pasta The menu is what the sign says… and they do an excellent job making everything on it! We’ve ordered the same two dishes for takeout for years (Cheese Manicotti w/meat sauce & Rigatoni). We started to dine at the restaurant about a year ago just to get out once in a while and are ordering different items on the menu now. It’s been more and more difficult to pick a favorite! The staff is AWESOME! Just picking up a ‘to go’ order is fun because you can see the kitchen staff working. Depending on where we sit when we dine in, we can see they enjoy being there! The servers are extremely friendly and genuinely want to get to know us. We’ve met about 3 so far, but I have to give a shout out to Carol because she’s mainly working the day we come in! Ask the staff what their favorite song is on the Jukebox and throw in a quarter, it really does work and entertaining no matter how...

In previous years, when we ate glutten we truly appreciated and liked their service and food. Spaghetti was excellent. Recently, i ordered a pizza with glutten crust and sakad to go. When I entered, I waited and waited and was never greeted. I stood at the register and watched thre men cooking, and saw 3 women servers. Finally, a man asked my name and walked off to check on my order. I continued waiting. He finally came to register and stated what I owed. I paid and waited more. He returned and placed box on counter and walked off. I asked about my salad, and another guy brought it over. I should have checked my order. The salad was thrown together. Not good looking and no meat on my pizza. I called and verified my order. They got it wrong. Left my name for manager and still no call back. Will not return.
