The Veranda - Chatham Bars Inn — Restaurant in Chatham

The worst experience I've ever had at a "5 star" resort! I ordered the filet medium rare. It came out medium well. No big deal, I'll jist let the server know....

She came back out, manager in tow, telling me Im wrong. So, I cut into it again and asked her if she thought it was medium rare. She agreed it was definitely not!

Then the manager told me it was the lighting. The lighting?! What a joke!

I decided to not have anything and my family finished their meal. Do you think I was offered a free drink or dessert at a minimum? Nope! The arrogance of this place was unreal and I hope my post encourages at least one person to not choose...

I so sad. It wasthe 10th year of being cancer free and we were celebrating at the Veranda, outside over the water. There were eight tables around us with no food. Half had no drinks. We were optimistic and finally were able to order drinks. They came 20 minutes later. The bread came with no plates. Then I went to ladies room. Disgusting. What a total disappointment. Very sad. we did not stay at the resort but walked in for a table on the veranda & it was amazing! the view is lovely and the staff are kind and attentive. we were here in September and they were equipped with heaters and blankets (if you wished) as the night got chillier. the clam chowder was so delicious, flavorful and big enough to share! would also recommend the halibut &...
