Reservations placed on March 21st for March 31st. I ordered a the foie gras pate, the wagyu steak, and the milles-fueilles. My date had the steak tartare, gnochetti, and the profiteroles. I had a West Side Smash and my date had a white wine. The total spent was 165 including tip. I am a culinary school graduate and am currently working as a chef.
SERVICE
The environment was loud and felt a little cramped, but the decor and our server more than made up for that. She was quick with drink recommendations and she moved through our service seamlessly, giving an appropriate check up after every dish was delivered.
FOOD
I wanted to give this place a good review, but I must preface that I have a slight bias seeing that the restaurant I currently work at serves similar food. The pate was very well done, but I haven’t had foie gras since culinary school, so really have no frame of reference. As for the tartare, the balance between the seasoning and the beef leaned more in favor of the seasoning, which may just be a personal preference, but I found it enjoyable nonetheless. My only issue came with my steak which was a little to heavy handed on the salt and pepper in some spots, but I am happy you kept the sauce and steak separate. My girlfriend was ecstatic with her meal, and the muscle I tried off her plate was cooked perfectly. The milles-fueilles and the profiteroles were a perfect portion, and were definitely made with a level of intention, something I tend to find lacking in a lot of desserts nowadays.
CONCLUSION
This place will definitely be a staple for whenever I visit Chattanooga. I give it five stars namely because I’m honestly excited to try more of the menu and am confident that they won’t fail to deliver...
Read moreWhen you get your plate, you'll want to ask if it's tappas but it's not. I've eaten a thousand gulf oysters but those were the worst I've ever had. They were like the discount oysters or something, because I've never had any that tasted so sterile and lifeless. These "special" oysters effectively eliminated everything I love about eating them and they weren't cheap.
The crackers come out 1 per oyster... and they're not saltines. They're "wafers" and when I asked for more, knowing there weren't enough for the number of oysters we had, It was like asking the pope for a dispensation. Same thing when we asked for some sliced fruit for the child with us. The condiments that came with it felt conspicuously spare.
We bought two charcuterie boards, one cheese, one meat, thinking two would be enough for two people. Unfortunately, the two together weren't enough for one person.
There are other places, good restaurants in town that have better oysters, better food, better portions and don't make you leave feeling ripped off.
They do it better for less money even when they're not on sale. Compared to the way it used to be, their special feels like a marketing ploy designed by an accountant. Chattanooga has better options than this now. What we got deserved one star, but I gave them two because I'm nostalgic for how much I used to enjoy the place.
I used to love Easy Bistro, but since they've moved, someone with a gram-scale and a scarcity complex has ironed the soul right out of it. It's overpriced even with the special, palpably pretentious and I left feeling more hungry than when I arrived even though I spent nearly $70...

The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between upscale sophistication and relaxed comfort, making it an ideal choice for both special occasions and casual outings.
We began our meal with a selection of appetizers. The fresh oysters were exceptional, each offering a unique taste of the sea. The cheese board featured a rotating selection of artisanal cheeses, complemented by seasonal accoutrements and crostini. We also enjoyed the marinated olives and maitake mushrooms, both bursting with flavor and freshness.
For the main courses, we opted for the Bavette Steak- medium rare and the Villari Pork Chop with chopped cabbage. The steak was cooked to perfection—tender and flavorful—while the pork chop was juicy and well-seasoned, showcasing the chef’s commitment to quality and innovation. Notably, Easy Bistro & Bar prides itself on a dynamic menu that changes daily, ensuring a fresh and exciting dining experience with each visit.
Our dining experience was elevated by the outstanding service provided by our waitress, Ellie. Her warm demeanor, extensive menu knowledge, and attentive care made us feel truly valued and enhanced our overall enjoyment.
