Mexiville — Restaurant in Chattanooga

Where do I begin? First time (& last) visit turned out to be a disaster. Loud loud music (& we are musicians, so that’s saying a lot) to the point of discomfort. So, we were seated at the first table next to the front door. My menu had salsa spread across two pages as I opened the menu. Asked the waiter for another & very reluctantly was given another. No communication from him. We then placed our orders and while waiting, I wanted to wash my hands. I could not hear one of the employee’s directions but went in the general direction he pointed. For some reason I missed the little hallway to the left so asked someone else who literally took my head off. I found it on my on . When I went to wash my hands and had soap all over them, I tried turning the faucet which was slow running and would not turn off, to the cold water. There was no cold water, so I attempted to rinse the soap off in scalding and I mean scalding hot water. I got a paper towel and wet it as it blistered two of my fingers. While I’m trying to get this worked out, someone is pounding in the door. I said, I’ll be right out. I opened the door and the female employee/owner/guard Dog or whatever, started fussing at me for using their bathroom without ordering food. I said I’m in the first booth. She continued with her scolding. I returned to our booth and was telling my partner about my experience and I was trying to ice my fingers. He suggested we just leave when our food all of a sudden appeared and was just literally tossed on the edge of the table, again with zero communication. We were eating when the guard dog woman appears at the table with this smile across her face telling me she is sorry! What? Are you kidding me? Your water just scalded me (& I had told her this), you embarrassed me, the waiter never uttered a word, and someone in the kitchen chewed me out when I asked him where the restroom was. My girlfriend and I had gone to this place on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. As soon as we walked in, the first thing that we noticed was that there were no other customers in the place. This should have been our first hint as to what would come. As we began to look through the menu, our waitress began to take our drink orders and food orders. She did a fine job, however the cooks not so much. I ordered a quesadilla, and I guess I expected something bigger than the size of a taco shell, but that is not what I received. This “quesadilla” was so small, that over half of my onions/peppers/meat were outside of the wrap! There was also much less non-tasty meat compared to the onions and peppers. While I was eating, I couldn’t stop thinking about how pricey this place is for what they’re serving customers. All of the sudden, the price wasn’t on my mind anymore. Instead, the workers were sitting on the tables closer to the back blasting tic tok! (Yes I know I couldn’t make this up if I tried!) Overall, I will never be coming back to this place and I recommend if you are thinking about coming here, go find some other Mexican food...

Absolutely horrible experience. We came in right before noon with a large group. The restaurant was practically empty. I think there was one other table with people. A lady brought bowls of chips to the table and as I was going to my seat, I accidentally bumped her arm which knocked a few chips out of the bowl. I immediately apologized but she cut her eyes at me and said “UUGGGHHHHHH!!” And got extremely mad. Then she continued to glare at me and speak to her coworker almost the entire time we were there. That should’ve been my clue to leave. It just kept going downhill from there. 30 minutes to even take our order, (Again, maybe 2 tables actually had any customers by the time they took our order) burnt food, salad that actually looked like soup bc of the overload of queso, some fajitas didn’t come out on a grilling platter but a regular plate instead. The waiter would often mumble under his breath if we asked for a refill. I am still shocked at the service and overall experience here.
