Innside Restaurant — Restaurant in Chattanooga

This is without doubt one of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at in Chattanooga! We visited all the trendy spots during our stay in Chattanooga and while the food at those restaurants was fine I felt like we mostly paid for ambiance.

Having said that, the Innside Restaurant offers what really matters. They immediately welcomed us making us feel like one of the regulars. The food is fantastic, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable.

One of the things that stood out is how kind and gracious Sandy and Tiny are to everyone that enters. I don’t know if it’s an every day occurrence but it appears like they pick up the tab for the diners with financial hardships and that act of generosity really touched me.

It’s the only restaurant we ate at multiple times while visiting Chattanooga and will be our regular stop for all future trips. I encourage everyone to make this there first meal while in Chattanooga.

The waitress was so over the top rude that I canceled my order and left. She refused to make any eye contact with me the entire time she took my order, pulling these really sour faces instead. I was getting a meal that came with a pick of two sides, which she didn't even ask me about before storming off toward the back. I had to stop her to remind her that I wanted a side, at which point she said snapped "YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME!" in a rude as hell manner. Then she goes back behind the counter and makes a "crazy person" gesture to her coworkers. All Because I GASP wanted to pick a side that goes with my own order? ....Given how busy this place always is, I imagine that I either got the bad apple out of the bunch or a waitress who didn't want to take the order of a trans person. My husband and I were only in TN for 1 day and had stayed over night at an area hotel. I quickly googled places to eat near me and choose Innside Restaurant because I like to eat at restaurants I can't find at home, you know good mom/pop ones. I tell you what not only was our food really good but so was the service! The owner was super nice, cracked jokes with us and actually took the time to have a conversation with us.
