Repeat customer here! I can’t for the life of me figure out why this restaurant doesn’t have better ratings. The vibe: ✅ The food: ✅ The service: ✅. The cuisine could best described as southern soul-food , and for this cuisine, Six18 is an unabashed 5 stars. I’ve never had a fried pork chop so tender, flavorful, and sumptuous. I love my mom, but man would my childhood have been different if she’d had this recipe. If you don’t get the pork chop, you’ve failed. Go back and try again. The shrimp and grits are also my go to, and my husband had a side of Cajun gravy that he poured over his mashed potatoes that was to DIE for. He thought his catfish was a little salty, but the flavor was still excellent. I’ve heard people complain of the service here, but that hasn’t been our experience, either at the bar or at the tables. The girls working the bar today were fabulous, and they took excellent and thoughtful care of us. The “added charge” you see some negative reviews complaining about is the automatic 18% gratuity added to checks- which, if you weren’t planning on tipping at least that, makes you part of the problem, so take a back seat (there is adequate signage to notify people of this automatic gratuity). For the sake of transparency, I will say not all of our food came out hot, but it was a busy Saturday night, and it did not impact the flavor of the meal overall. Lastly, my initial glass of wine was old (strong vinegar flavor), but our bartender replaced it without charge. Like I said, service is excellent. 🙂 Note that this place is busy as a bee, so make reservations! 10/10 recommend. It’s close to the Tivoli, and a perfect dinner spot before a show.

Okay so this restaurant is def giving ATL vibes. I highly recommend you come with a reservation necessary especially for big parties. We walked in and they were gracious enough to sit us without a reservation because the table had a couple of hours before the next reservation arrived. Staff was friendly. I'm pretty sure this is a black owned restaurant however there was a diverse crowd when I went. everyone should feel comfortable here, I kno I was. The food was very good! The prices are on the pricey side but it's delicious food that I think it's worth the price. The owner or manager walked around and checked on tables personally, however I heard no complaints. My only gripe would be that the mini cornbread muffin is just too mini sized I ate it in one bite leaving a little to be desired for me. I wish it was just a little bit bigger or came with more than one. Overall though vibes was there! Food was good! Didn't try any of the drinks but the way I kept seeing them brought to tables I assume they must be good. JUST GO FOR YOURSELF Here pictured is the pork chop plate with 2 pork chops,Mac and cheese, and greens. Mac and cheese is a $2 up charge. Nd half side of creole gravy -also posted on yelp

Love when you don’t plan to try a place but something happens and you end up having a great experience. JMac was inexplicably closed for our planned wine and charcuterie night. Six18 was next door so we tried it. First, the hostess is super nice. That’s how a restaurant should welcome you. The service from everyone was outstanding. The bartenders were great. Next, the happy hour is from 4 to 6:18. How cool is that? We tried a few cocktails and local drafts. Wife liked her Margarita but I wouldn’t recommend their version of an Old Fashion. But it was happy hour and it did the job. The mojito looked good. We tried the wings and the pulled pork Mac and cheese. Both were very good. Live music every Saturday after 7 and soon on Friday. Definitely will be back and can’t wait o try more of their food. The fried chicken and catfish have my name on it! Just an awesome experience and cool vibe. Thank you JMac for being closed haha.

Sux18 has a really good atmosphere. It's right off the street and they have parking on their property. Food selections are nice I got the catfish sandwich; (which was very salty); with fries and an amaretto sour as my drink. Our server was great, the food came on time and the drink was delicious. This establishment has what looks like to be a mini dance floor in front of a stage. There was live music and we went specifically to see saxophonist Frank Bumpass. Who by the way never fails to impress. However my rating is due to the overall experience. Which in my opinion like the little finesse. There were no signs to state that dancing wasn't allowed. And if that's the intent then signs need to be present to state that. It was a girl's night out with a group of professional, intelligent. Mature and respectful women. In a nutshell before leaving the restaurant we decided to support our friend, the saxophonist as well as end the night on a high note by doing a little dancing. We weren't properly informed that dancing wasn't allowed and there were no signs to indicate that. However, in my observation a few members of the staff passed through our group but didn't inform us at any time that we shouldn't be there dancing. And they were a bit rude. Eventually we would be told that this wasn't a club. Mind you we weren't up there an hour or even 30 minutes. Not to mention we weren't making lots of noise. Yet, we all took the officer on duty and the restaurant coming up to us with this information in stride and were respectful and decided to go to our seat. The officer was very polite and was kind. However, the statement and they decided response wasn't appropriate. I believe that management could have handled that better. All in all it is a great atmosphere and the food is good. Be that as it may, that first experience has left me a bit leery of going back. You guys can make your...

Placed order online at 3:37pm and it was ready at 4:45p.m. online had eta of 3:58p.m. Logistics need some work as when my husband and I arrived to pick up the order and 2 seperate people told us 2 different directions to go to and noone knew what to do and they hadn't even started on the order which according to the website it should've been ready to be picked up. As far as following up, they did a good job keeping us informed and letting us know it was being prepared. Almost an hour later our food was ready Spent $62.27 and tried the following: The chicken wing plate w/greens and okra Shrimp n grits Side of mac n cheese Side of Yams(were told they were out of so we chose to get another side of mac n cheese and upon making it home it never made it in the bag) Southern Style Eggrolls 4 pieces of cornbread muffins

Where do I begin. Muffins were sweet and fluffy and would try again. Eggrolls missed the mark for me, the best thing about these was the wrapping. I get it is something different but the blackeye peas, collard greens, rice and whatever else was inside had no flavoring and was not enjoyable to me. Felt like leftovers for NO REASON. I would not recommend or suggest these for anyone. Yams I was able to add to my cart on line but when we arrived we were told they were out-did not try. Mac n cheese was just okay. I wasn't blown away by it, standard elbow noodles with cheese but No WOW factor. Collard greens had an overpowering of onion taste and I did not enjoy those at all. Really no seasoning beyond that they were a miss for me. Wings were 3 out of 5 had a garlic undertone, flavored throughout so the seasoning technique was good. Cooked well and a decent size. Shrimp and grits were the Star!!!!!Flavored well, tasty and delicious.

Overall, for this online-pick up order and the menu items we chose I was...
