Walker Theatre — Attraction in Chattanooga

I love that this is a historic building, but the seats need to be renovated. They are old wooden theater chairs and after sitting and watching any performance your butt begins to hurt.

Just about any seat is a good seat for a view of the stage.

Often there is a bar where you can get alcoholic drinks and various snacks.

Bathrooms are not located on all levels and the elevator is reserved for handicap people only. So if you are not handicap, get ready to climb some stairs.

There is no free parking close by. Parking in the area ranges from $5-15 for a 24 hour pass.

The air conditioning/heat is not the best in this historic building. With its high ceilings and open spaces, the temperature outside dictates the temperature inside (+/- 10 degrees).

An intimate venue in the heart of downtown. Very easy to get to, with well lit public parking just steps away. Located inside Soldiers and Sailors Auditorium, it has been upgraded in the past five years with excellent lighting, a very good sound system, and comfortable audience seating. There are no bad views. Coffee, soft drink, and wine, beer, and spirit vendors are right outside in the lobby. Staff is very helpful and friendly. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the we were there, the escalators were not working, so the wait for the elevators took longer than expected. Love this place! Classy n has upped its class to all of us for an experience on the nite on the town. Date nite. Been coming here for several events an lived every minute of it!. Need a break on high cost tickets!! Stop going thru ticket Master! Call them directly for tickets! They are awesome! N I love how they are customer friendly. Sound effects were great!!
