If you want an honest, in-depth review.. get ready:
This place literally just steals money. Friends bought a table through a promoter, but when I got there they made me pay a $20 cover. Then when we were at the table, the promoter told all the guys (only 3 of us) that guys need to pay an extra $40 to stay at the table. We didn’t have cash, then he finally said, “fine... $30.” Went to the ATM downstairs and then it was “broken”, so we had to go to an ATM outside, and they tried to charge us another $20, even though we had stamps from their establishment.
The promoter’s instagram is @weheartleon, and the dude is just trying to look like a playboy for Instagram.
Then as the bottles came to our table, it was “for sharing” amongst other tables... and these tables weren’t blocked off, so random people that weren’t apart of a table would come up and pour themselves a drink... can someone explain these logistics?
Later in the night, it was literally only women. I’m a straight dude, but a 9 to 1 ratio favoriting women is a weird vibe. Apparently the promoters invite women for free and don’t have to pay for anything, but what ever men are there get hassled for money.
Terrible experience, terrible place, and horrendous promoters. This place is heading in the direction of Shay Nightclub (which shutdown).
(Oh and at the end of the night, the promoter tried to hug my girlfriend - even after the hassle we experienced in...
Read moreAVOID THIS BAR AT ALL COSTS. Do your research! Managers and bouncers run the establishment like a trap house. Altercations are inevitable here. There’s a difference between politely asking someone to leave with reasoning vs. the latter. Bouncers kicked out a member of our party upon entry after accidentally being bumped into (no markings identifying himself as a member of security). I then asked the reasoning and was told I would have to go. After getting slowly escorted out walking backwards, continuing the discussion, the bouncer kept touching and grabbing me. I was shoved down the entryway flight of stairs with the bouncer hanging onto me (about an 8-10 stair fall). The bouncer then proceeded to punch me in the face/throat as I was defenseless gathering myself from the fall. Not only did other bouncers get involved, but partook in the battery. Current injuries consist of a 6 inch bruise across my throat, cuts on the upper lip, 4 inch gash above the waistline, bruised tailbone. A police report has been filed, despite the first squad car showing up, shaking up the bouncers and night manager and doing absolutely nothing. The two police officers that first arrived on scene had no interest in rectifying the situation. The manager walked out, laughed in our faces and ignored anything...
Read moreBy far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a bar and this was my first time here. First, my group and I were told $20 for entry when no else was being charged before or after. Second, they wouldn’t allow us to enter changing the reason each time (too crowded, reservations needed, someone must leave for one to enter, etc.). However, those that came after us were allowed in. Everyone in my group is black or Latino and it became obvious why we weren’t being let in after we’d been waiting patiently for close to thirty minutes. They started to call us “belligerent” when some showed they were upset and voiced the racism being displayed. This was my first and last time here. I won’t be giving money to a business that refuses proper treatment because my skin is darker. Just disappointed because I always heard good things about this place. Then I experience it and I’m appalled by how my group was handled. I’m not sure if I’m more hurt by knowing I was discriminated against because of my skin or disappointed because somewhere I thought was great and excited to finally experience denied me of that.
Update: somehow my review was marked for Reverie. I’ve NEVER had an issue with them. This review is for...
