Lito's Empanadas - The Sterling Food Hall — Restaurant in Chicago

While I've tried several Of the varieties offered...im totally obsessed with the chicken and Mushroom empanadas dipped in a combo of their sweet & Aji sauces. I always grab at least two over the busy lunch hour and I'm still in and out, however, I do recommend going early if you want to try the elotes or they might run out because business is that good... Yet service is quick and staff is always friendly. So don't let the long line frighten you, try it!

for the staff: a sugestion though: Would be great if you could initial. The bags you put them in. A lot of times ppl are there getting some for co-workers, then get back to the office and don't know which is which without having to cut into them first . Perhaps pre - label the envelopes early morn or at night so as not to slow down svce…...

First time experiencing this eatery and it won’t be my last. The staff members were incredible at assisting me with ordering and were extremely welcoming. I don’t eat meat so the vegetarian options were right up my alley.

I tried both the spinach and veggie empanadas. The spinach was stuffed full of cheese and spinach that wasn’t slimy…YAY! It was delicious. The Veggie was good as well, very flavorful just wish it had more filling. I love Elote,, theirs was served cold , I tried it cold but didn’t like it, brought it home to warm up for dinner and it was fantastic!

All in all a wonderful experience and looking forward to my next visit. Heads up, this is in a food hall so it gets kinda loud when ordering. Use your outside voice when it’s...

It’s been a real challenge to find a real good crispy empanada in Chicago. In my visits to Miami, I would always go to Versailles Restaurant which has fantastic empanadas. Living in the Chicago area, it was depressing not to find anything close to that experience (and I tried quite a few), until trying Lito’s!

I was at the food hall for a different place but wanted to give Lito’s a try and glad I did! I had the Chicken & Mushroom and the La Pastor. Both great!

The lady at the counter also shared the location of their main restaurant as well so will eventually check them out. But at least I know there is a place with great...
