No welcome by the staff. Restaurant was filthy at around 11:45am with dirty tables and rubbish everywhere. Very poor, lazy, slow service without any care or consideration for customers despite neither the restaurant inside or drive-through being busy at all.
I only popped in to try the 1921 slider, which took the team around 15 mins+ to prepare - 1 single slider only! Took a few chasers also. Very sloppy. I also observed the same with other customers complaining and chasing for their food who had been there for a while before me. Barely any acknowledgement of the overly-long wait by the disorganised team. No apologies or updates given.
The young guy who served me didn't seem to have any care or concern for customers, service or standards which was a real shame to see. His way of asking "What else?" and "That's it?" To customers in the tone and manner he did seemed lacksidasical, rude and condesending.
I asked if they had a jar for tips so I could put my change in it (even after the very poor, slow service mentioned above) to which the same male staff member repeated "tip jar" over and over again in a rude manner as a question to the rest of the team. Then muttered something along the lines of "I don't know/like that", shaking his head. No tips for your team then!
Adding insult to injury, the food quality and taste was sub-par. White, heavily-processed bun on the 1921 was overly soft and had no taste or texture. Meat looked low-quality, grissly and lacked flavour, seasoning and that nice char from the grill. Dressings and salad/accoutremént also severely lacking and underwhelming.
Poor value for money overall and not an experience that I would repeat in this lifetime. Fast food is supposed to be exactly that, but this White Castle outlet and the team there sadly missed the mark on all counts.

Read moreStaff here are rude. Your in line and a thug comes out of nowhere and they will allow the three thugs to order.
They have two registers only one will be open and literally you’ll stop in there well on the run and one register is occupied with one person counting.
Then someone will break the line ask for something (And get it!) and I will have not spent any money again there today.
What’s weird the best way to order if your not a thug because the staff here will literally have thugs come up front in the line I have seen this multiple times is to mobile order.
Then when you mobile order to much the staff complains and even though you got to your receipt on the phone one of the older workers will demand you get in line and then check in their system.
So yeah it’s said because they recently rebuilt and expanded this White Castle to have sitting rooms as opposed to standing room only from the Icke projects and The Shrine (A horrible club) was still here.
The neighborhood has transformed and upped its game but the staff here are mostly older and seem to have a problem with paying customers who are not thugs. They don’t like mobile ordering and look to make your experience long and miserable as possible.
Serious why do you have workers who do not want to deal with mobile orders? Why is it regular customers on the go often don’t get serviced because you let people cut in line or you have one person using the only register to count during morning or evening rush?
Skip this new White Castle until they fire all the staff and hire...
