I came in several Monday's ago at 9:30pm to order carry-out. Management should feel embarrassed by the employees they had running the front of the house. Two cooks and a server did nothing but complain about customers for coming in and ordering food the ENTIRE time I was there. When new customers walked in to be seated, the cooks up front mean-mugged them and angrily waved their arms in the air as they walked by and the cook who took my order said, "If one more person orders food, I swear to God I'm going to quit!" He had no problem exclaiming this while accepting my credit card for payment. In hindsight, I SO wish I would've cancelled the order right there and walked out. But I didn't, and instead tried to offer empathy like 'I'm sorry, I didn't know you guys were about to close. The website says kitchen is open until 11pm.' He wouldn't speak directly to me, or even look me in the eye for that matter. He and the woman who was making food with him continued to complain about their job and customers coming in and doing what they should do at a restaurant.

It's been weeks and I'm still upset by disrespect they showed. On one hand, I want to say that I get it -- it's the end of the night, you're tired, and your feet hurt. But ultimately, you're on the job. You represent that company and really you should go work somewhere else if you're that miserable you can't even pretend to keep it together. It was humiliating to watch them make my food while they bitched about doing it. I didn't do anything wrong and don't feel like I should've given my money to a business that treats paying customers like that.

I asked for the man's name when he handed me my food but he mumbled it 3 times so I couldn't understand him. I was too embarrassed to ask for a fourth time.

If MGMT wants to call me about this, I'd be happy to share more details. This bad experience was worth cancelling out all my good ones.

The pizza's good though. And the bartender was...

Spending the day with my husband and our kids, the girls asked for pizza for lunch. After having a hard time finding parking downtown, we found ourselves at Mac's in Clifton. We typically read reviews before trying a new place, but my husband just said he always wanted to try them and had a good feeling about it. It was around 12pm so it was quiet. Our waitress was nice. Greeted us promptly. We started with an order of fried pickles that were so good, our girls wouldn't share. They were gone in a couple of minutes. We ordered a pepperoni pizza for the girls and we ordered the Mac supreme for us and our son. We asked for some adjustments on the pizza and was informed they accidentally prepared the pizza incorrectly. So to make up for the inconvenience, they offered us the messed up pizza for free and still remade the pizza for us, correctly. One of the cooks came out to speak with my husband and was such a pleasure. He was mentioning how there is love in the food. You can tell, it's definitely made with love at lunch time. As we were leaving, I believe the owner or manager asked if he could make dessert for our kids. He created an apple and blueberry turnover for them (not on the menu) and they loved it. It was too big to eat after all the delicious pizza, but made a nice treat for them this evening. They make you feel like family at this Mac's. It was such a nice change to what we have been experiencing at restaurants lately. This is now our favorite pizza place and I will tell...

I've tried to give Mac's a chance many many times and I'm always let down. I've only ever been there late night, when they're in "bar mode" and I always get frustrated. The bartenders aren't really trained, they don't know how to serve like a typewriter (go down the bar and reset), they just choose one random spot and keep serving people that come to that spot. So if you pick the wrong spot you won't get served. Move? Then they pick a different spot. It's infuriating. They really just don't know how to treat customers, last week they decided to close at 12 because there wasn't a crazy amount of business, even though their posted hours go until 2:30. They also underpour drinks unless you're friends with that bartender. I don't know of any establishments where a 3 or 4 count (3/4oz or 1oz) are a shot. Finally, most of the customers are "from Illinois" (underage) and there for the night because they've been to Uncle Woody's one too many times in the past week. If you like walking into the bathroom to someone on their knees puking, this is the place for you!

The only redeeming factors (that saved this from being a 1 star review) are: the pizza and other food is... palatable; they usually have some good local craft beer selections (although that doesn't really matter because as mentioned before you can't get service); and their karaoke...

This was my first visit to Mac's. I met a group of friends there after an event. Mac's is a decent bar with pretty good food. We were there on an early Saturday afternoon, not really the best time to judge a bar. It wasn't exactly hopping, but our server Alexis was great. She got all our orders right and was Johnny on the spot with refills and drink orders. I tried the Macover, an original item. It comes in three flavors: cheese, pepperoni, and mushroom. I ordered the mushroom version. The mushrooms were thinly sliced and folded with cheese into a thin dough that's then deep fried. So like a calzone, but not baked. It comes with a tiny side of marinara, hardly enough for this good sized portion. I needed a little salt for mine. It was tasty, but the thin dough is not as filling as a dough that's baked. They've got a full bar with lots of specialty and some craft beers. There's a pool table in the front. Parking is limited to the small back lot shared with a neighboring restaurant. There's an outdoor seating area in the rear as well. Mac's has a few locations throughout the Queen City. I'd like to go back during the evening and indulge in the beers with some different appetizers and some pizza.

Lol get ready y'all.... We came here on a Sunday for 50 cent boneless wings. So we start ordering our boneless wings and are talking about the 50 cent wings and the guy tells us they actually aren't 50 cents anymore even though there was literally a sign outside in the sidewalk that said "50 cent boneless wings." So we say eh whatever let's just get them anyways even though that doubles the price. So we order them we waited like 45 minutes for our food (we also ordered apps like what) and we were also one of 2 tables in the whole building. They finally bring out our food and it was 1-2 chicken tenders cut up with a little sauce and we were never told anything or asked if that was okay. Our waiter just said "sorry they look a little weird today." It was a nightmare. And we spent a ton of money for very little food and a long, bad experience.

We went for lunch over the weekend, originally we went because we had stumbled across an article about the pizza vending machine, unfortunately it was out of stock on everything. I'm sure that would have been awesome to experience, I mean who doesn't want to order pizza from a vending machine?! Maybe next time. We tried the Don personal pizza and side salad. The pizza crust was so so good! The pizza as a whole was a great size for 2, not overly greasy and came out to us piping hot. I'd definitely recommend it. The side salad was good, usual make up. There is only negative issue, the dressing cup was partially frozen. No big deal. The back patio was awesome and just what we were looking for with the weather being perfect for the memorial day weekend. Prices are decent, parking is limited but overall I'd recommend them.
