Revel OTR Urban Winery — Restaurant in Cincinnati

I hosted a surprise birthday party for my husband this year. His birthday fell on a Tuesday and we were a group of 12-13 people for the party. The place is otherwise closed on Tuesday but was open for that evening just for our party. So luckily, we had the whole bar for ourselves!!

I loved the upper level setup where there is comfortable lounge seating along with high chairs. The upper level also has a projector available where I streamed my husband's sweet memories over the years. It was a huge add on. We could also be our own DJ and danced to our favorite songs. I worked with event manager Anthony who is easily accessible through email/phone and understood & catered to our needs & requirements. The pricing was also negotiable and from my experience, the place was really worth the price I put in. Our bartender Mark was also great in keeping the drinks coming & cleaning up the tables without any hassle.

The drinks menu has diverse options, their wine cocktails are really good, and they also have the usual beers and all other hard liquor options. What an INCREDIBLE experience we had. We hosted a surprise 60th birthday party for my mom, and if you are looking to do something similar, I would highly recommend this place. Most everywhere else we contacted in the downtown area was going to charge a ridiculous $$ rental fee. Revel only requires that you meet a minimum bar tab, which was a very reasonable amount, and we had the entire second floor to ourselves for 3 hours. Anthony, the owner, was very responsive to our calls and emails- and an all around down to earth, cool guy to work with. Our bartender, AJ, went above and beyond his duties to make our experience special.

My favorite thing on the menu was the Spicy Honey Ricotta Crostini, and the meatballs were equally delicious. All of the wines that I tasted were good, but I especially liked the Black Sheep Rogue. The walls are taken up by some really talented local artists' work, and it contributes to a unique, chill atmosphere.

Let’s start off with I typically LOVE this place! I meet co-workers here, family members and always my girls here. The main issue is customer service. I walked in with a mask, even worn the mask when I was NOT drinking! I walked up to the bar w/o a mask to grab a drink, service was a bit slow (again I understand it’s COVID-19 season). She (bartender with blond hair) said “you must put on your mask”) I ran back to my table and grabbed my mask then went to order a drink. She then said, “You must order from the table.” Gurrrrrl why didn’t you say that the first time and why do you care when EVERYONE in this bar has been served a drink (w/o a mask) except the one brown table at the bar?
