Listen, the pizza is decent. It tasted good. Is it the best Detroit style pizza I’ve ever had? Not even close. The crust was unusually chewy. My jaw got fatigued eating it. However, it tasted like it was made with fresh and good quality ingredients. It just wasn’t memorable or worth it in the end. The reason this gets knocked down for me is the price point. It’s ridiculously expensive. It’s legitimately the most expensive and small pizza I’ve ever had. I’m going to show my hand compared to the pizza’s size for reference & I wear an XS glove size. I got small pizza ($14). The ranch is delicious, even better with the spicy garlic sauce, but even those were $2 each for a small amount. It’s just not worth the price and I don’t see myself coming here again when there are much more budget friendly options that are just as good as this place. If you don’t care about price, the pizza tasted good. Worth a try.

I always like to give places another shot, even if my first visit was just okay. Tonight, I stopped by Taglio in OTR and ordered cheese sticks and a personal pepperoni thin crust. Unfortunately, the cheese sticks didn’t live up to what I remember—they used to be great, but tonight they just didn’t hit the spot. I’ve had excellent ones in the past, and I was under the impression they were made in-house. The pizza was alright, but nothing standout. I have to say, as much as I enjoy Cincinnati, the pizza scene here doesn’t compare to my hometown of Dayton. Places like Cassano’s, Flying Pizza, Joe’s Pizzeria, and Marion’s Piazza set the bar high. Dayton simply does pizza best. I don’t love leaving negative reviews, but honest feedback matters. Hopefully, Taglio can step it up next time!

I wish I had gotten our waiters name because he was a CHAMPION 💪🏾! We had a table of probably close to 20 people and I don’t think he even wrote down 1 order… he remembered all of our food AND drinks 🤯 so impressive. The restaurant was so accommodating and everyone was very friendly and helpful. And then there was the food 🔥 We got the deep dish version of the hot honey pepperoni and the pineapple pizzas - DELICIOUS. Also sorry for the caps lock but I feel strongly about this: GET THE MOZZARELLA STICKS. You will not regret it!!! Best mozzarella sticks I’ve ever had no exaggeration. For drinks my husband got the Guinness and I tried the peach cider and that was really flavorful and refreshing. Very good all around!

First of all I want to say this review is purely on the management/service. The food itself is solid! Love the pizza. Which is the only reason i'm even giving the 2 stars. Also, I've left maybe 4-5 reviews ever, which shows the disappointment I have after my experience.

I chose to go here this past Saturday evening, 10/19. It was myself along with 8 other people. We picked this place over 3-4 other places in celebration of my birthday. I actually called on Wednesday to inquire about reservations, however, they do not take any. No big deal, this is common with places in OTR. However, in their voicemail menu they mention a private room that can be rented. I left a message asking for more details on this and they say I'd hear back within 48 hours. My girlfriend (not knowing I called on Wednesday) called on Thursday to inquire about the room also. Neither of us heard back, which was the first bummer leading up to Saturday night.

Our plans as a group was to meet there by 7:30. Myself and two others actually got there early at 7:20 to get a table. They seemed a bit disgruntled when we came in and asked for a table for 8-9 people. Like, sorry, we're bringing you a big group of customers... they say it will be about 45 min and that we can grab drinks at the bar. My girlfriend take this time to let them know neither of us received calls back about the private room they mention on their phone message.

Fast forward some and do finally get seated about 40 mins later. The waitress was okay... didn't seem thrilled to be working but we could deal with it. However, we did have multiple times where we basically had to get her attention to order a next round as our glasses sat empty.

As most do, on the servers second time back after bringing some drinks we all ordered. It's pretty straight forward, pizzas and sides. So it's roughly an hour into the evening which is okay since we did have the 45 min wait, got seated and then grabbed drinks once seated.

This wait would continue... we ended up waiting about an hour for our food. An hour... for a table of 8-9 splitting 4-5 pizzas and a few sides that most of us shared also. During this very long wait no manager came to talk with us. Instead, my best friend had to go up and basically get the attention of management/servers to see what was going on.

Yes, they did end up discounting our bill drastically but that was almost expected when we were there a total of 3 hours... My plan was not to have a 3 hour dinner. Management needs to talk with their customers. Let us know there's a delay, let us know what's going on, and let us know you're sorry for this to be happening. Out of the 4-5 people we interacted with, there wasn't really a single one who seemed to be empathetic of the situation.

Very disappointed and probably won't go back. Unless I have 3...

We used to live in Chicago and enjoyed our fair share of deep dish pizza. So when we heard a deep dish pizza restaurant, albeit Detroit style, was opening close to our Pendleton neighborhood, we were excited. It actually caused me to look into the history of Detroit deep dish which is pretty interesting.

For quick review's sake, here is my take-

Ambiance- 3 stars Service- 5 stars Pizza- 4 1/2 stars

Ambiance- they gutted Lachey's restaurant full of sports tickers and crazy amounts of tvs. The bar area is very long and has a decent feel. But the rest of the place has very ordinary tables and chairs that really don't seem to match an urban location or the feel of the space. So 3 stars for plain.

Service- our server was Austin. He was great and helped us navigate our pizza selection. Super friendly- great service.

Pizza- Now on to the pizza. First, you have to order the 18 inch to get the deep dish. So, of course, we did. Austin said the most popular was the pepperoni and hot honey and he suggested the bianco for the other half. I liked that they could do ANY half/half combo.

We loved the crust, and that's important to us. In fact, I think it's worth it just for the crust. Delicious and crisp. I'm glad we tried the honey and pepp but I'm not sure I'd do it again. It felt a bit too sweet and I needed more savory. The bianco was a good counter to the red sauce pepperoni but I wouldn't get it on its own. That's partly because I'm partial to red sauce in my pizzas. Also, I felt the ricotta maybe overpowered the rest a bit.

One minor note -I asked for parmesan and he said it would cost $1. Not sure why but that kind of bugged me. I feel that should just be part of any other pizza spice- included.

We'll definitely be back to try more combinations. A solid 4 stars overall and this true deep dish option is a welcome addition to other...

Took friends from out of town here after raving about the Columbia Tusculum location. The food was fantastic but the service left so much to be desired. I’m an overly empathetic person to service industry workers after having been in it for 7 years. It was not busy when we walked in, and we sat at the bar. There was one bartender and a couple of servers. Our two main issues were - 1) we sat with our salads for a few minutes with no silverware. I asked for silverware and she did not hear me. One of us got up to get silverware ourselves off of another table and a server finally noticed and said that she’d bring us some, which she did. 2) we ordered ranch dressing with our pizza and she said it is $1 per serving which is obviously fine. Our pizza came out without it and we asked two different times for the ranch and she would say okay, and then go on to do other tasks (taking new orders, closing out checks, wiping down the bar, etc). She also could have asked a server standing there watching her make drinks to grab the ranch for her, and did not. She left (still no ranch) and was relieved by a new bartender who did not check in with us and walked by empty glasses several times. The previous bartender didn’t split our checks like we had asked so when we asked them to remove the ranch from our bill, she gave us a $1 bill (even though we were charged for 2). She did apologize when we mentioned we had asked multiple times. I totally understand being understaffed but it truly seemed like the staff did not care about customer service, or were all terribly...
