If I could give no stars I definitely would. My friend and I where down at Washington park to watch the movie playing for pride. We both had a craving for something sweet so I immediately googled to find some ice cream nearby. I came upon simply rolled and thought this is perfect and it’s something a little different so we walked over. Location was super close and easy to find. We walked in and noticed we where the only patrons but the three employees where all occupied in various tasks. The where all right there was ndtont of us so we decided to scan the menu o figure out what we wanted so we could be ready when one of them finally acknowledged us. That tool maybe another 4 to 5 minutes.. still no one made any attempt to help us. After a few more minutes I stepped closer to the register to hopefully let them know hey we are ready still all three employees just continued to stare down and ignore me and my friend. At one point one employee stopped abd walked to the back but still no one said a word to us. I noticed the two remaining employees would look at eachother from time to time but they would not acknowledge me. Even after I said ok we r ready, still nothing. I was so confused my friend and I stated reading the various signs posted thinking maybe we needed to place our orders online. I even went to there website to try to see if maybe they only accepted online ordering. Then I thought even if that’s the case someone could have easily said so in the store so we walked out: still blown away that walked into an establishment to spend my money and not one employee was willing to take it. To the owner- I would not want any of these people working for me and I certainly wouldn’t want to pay someone to not make money for me. I was by on Wednesday June 22 between 7:30 and 8 pm. Absolutely terrible employees on that shift. And I was really excited to try you unique treats , I was trying every way I could to Justify their actions and to be patient. Read moreStaff was not very welcoming when entering the store. No signage on where to order, if you have never been it’s confusing. Had only about 5 customers in from of us and it took close to 25 minutes. Stood right in front of the staff for those 25 minutes and no staff mentioned that we had to order at the other end and pay first before they made the ice cream. By the time we were up next, the register line had 10 people waiting which would mostly likely take 45 to make the ice cream as they only had 2 stations open. When we mentioned to the worker we had never been there before and didn’t know you had to order at the other end first and had been waiting over 25 minutes all she could say was “oh....sorry”, didn’t offer to take our order or ask the register staff to let us in to order/pay really quick. Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at Simply Rolled in Cincinnati. Yesterday, I ordered a rolled ice cream with a chocolate base, mixed with Nutella and strawberry, and asked for strawberry, banana, Nutella, and raspberry as toppings.
First of all, they didn’t have the chocolate base, but no one informed me. Instead, they just used vanilla ice cream mixed with Nesquik cocoa a completely different flavor and not what I asked for. On top of that, they replaced raspberries with blueberries (again, without telling me), and didn’t add any Nutella on top as requested.
What’s worse is that they made all these changes without saying a word or giving me a choice. That’s not acceptable. I don’t even want to give one star it’s a shame.
