So shady... we called to place an order for delivery. The guy had to ask us to hold every 5 seconds. It was a super simple order, so I’m not sure why he kept acting so confused... then the call “disconnects”. We call back. Guy acts confused, but then continues with our order. Takes at least 10 minutes to finish confirming the order, but we finally get to payment. He takes all of the credit card info, and then says someone will be in touch with us. We ask if he needs an address for delivery. He acts confused, we explain that... it’s a delivery order and he never asked for our address. He asks us to hold. The manager gets on the phone and asks what the issue is. We explain that all we are trying to do is give the delivery address for our DELIVERY order. She can’t find the order. We express our concern because we literally ordered during the same call that we are still currently on, and already gave our credit card info. She asks the staff if anyone took the order; they all deny taking the order. We are now very concerned because obviously someone is lying and has the credit card info. She takes the last 4 of the card number, looks in the recent transactions, finds that the card HAD been charged, but for an order under someone else’s name, different address, and different order. The whole time she’s saying, it’s his birthday, he’s new, he doesn’t usually work the front, excuse after excuse... all while asking him, why’d you do this, why’d you do that... she finally says she’s cancelling the transaction, takes our order again, says it’s free, asks for the address, apologizes and says it’ll be delivered. Again, at no charge. ...we wait. No one ever calls, food is never delivered. Now we have to watch and make sure there aren’t any weird charges on the card. And I will NEVER even consider Toppers again. Most shady experience I’ve ever had. If the call didn’t go through the automated toppers intro before a live person, I would have assumed it was a scam and not a...
Read moreThe first time I ordered from here was horrible. The first time I called was when I was at work and a man answered the phone. I explained to him that I wanted to place a order on some food and which I gave him my address. He explained that they couldn't deliver it to my location due to it not being in the system. Now, I work not even a mile away from this place so I was confused why I couldn't get my order. So, I called again two hours later and spoke to a woman. Now, she was nice and was able to take my order and told me I had to wait 1 hour before they could deliver it there. I know 1 hour is long, but I said that would be fine. Two hours past and finally the delivery driver shows up. Once again, this man was respectful and nice like the woman I spoke to two hours ago. When I finally got to eat my pizza, the pizza was cold and the cheesy bread was stale and dried up.
The next day I called and spoke to a manager which she was kind enough to give me a credit on the order and told me whenever I want to receive my credit to just call and they will deliver it to me. Three days past by and I am back to work. I give them a call explaining my information and explained to them what the manager told me. The woman on the phone explained to me that she could not help me and that I would have to wait until tomorrow sometime to speak to the general manager. I asked her why and she told me that she isn't allowed to do so. So I asked what time will the general manager will be in tomorrow and she explained that she doesn't have the exact time and that I should call a couple of times.
Now I'm sitting here at work thinking I would be able to get my credit for the mistake that were made and now I have to wait a whole day to call to just ask for a general manager to prep my food....
My first time ever here and I gotta say that I won't be ordering from this...
Read moreI had an absolutely abysmal experience with Toppers Pizza located at 345 Calhoun Street, Cincinnati OH, 45219, during an order I placed on the night of November 2, 2023. The order was placed at 12:09 AM, and what followed can only be described as a prime example of incompetence and downright theft.
To start, I waited an excruciatingly long time for my order. When I called the restaurant to inquire about the delay, I was greeted by a customer service representative named Sam. Sam's handling of the situation was nothing short of infuriating. He repeatedly insisted that my order was in the "baking process" for a mind-boggling three hours. Let's be real, there's no way a pizza should take that long to bake. Sam's insistence on this absurd claim was insulting to my intelligence.
After futilely arguing with Sam about the delay, I requested to speak with a manager. This is where the situation went from bad to worse. Sam "transferred" me to an alleged manager line, but nobody ever picked up. It seemed more like a way to pass the buck and avoid accountability rather than actually connecting me with a manager who could address my concerns.
What transpired can only be interpreted as nothing less than theft. Toppers Pizza took my money for an order that was never delivered. I waited for hours, endured an infuriating conversation with Sam, and never received the food I paid for. This is not only a complete disregard for customer service but also raises serious questions about the ethics of this establishment.
I would strongly caution anyone against ordering from Toppers Pizza on Calhoun Street. This experience was a complete and utter disaster, and the way they handled the situation borders on theft. I am thoroughly disappointed and frustrated with Toppers Pizza and their lack of professionalism and customer service. Avoid this place...
