Arrived for lunch at 1p on a Monday. Should have known when half of the restaurant's tables were empty but not bussed. Luckily there was a server tray on the booth's seat to load up the dirty dishes and napkins onto. Five minutes before it got picked up from the table, but the table still sat between us unwiped off. Ten minutes later, still nothing. Not even a greeting (we'd checked with a server that it was okay to seat ourselves at a dirty table, so not like they didn't know we were there). Ventured to find someone, found a cluster of kids that worked there but no one looking like a manager. Asked a server if they were maybe understaffed. A doe-eyed response of "I don't know." Politely explained the reason for the question. Informed that she thought other server was getting our booth, even though she's been to the booth next to ours repeatedly. She did tell me she'd try to get to us when she could. Retreated to our booth and made our exit as no signs pointed to an even bearable experience. Frankenmuth Brewery...
Read moreWe were there around lunch on 2-1-25. The food was fair. I had a Chicken Pot Pie, which was good, but a small portion for $15. My husband got the cheese puffs. They were very salty. He also got a burger which he enjoyed. This bar overcharges for its beers on tap. Not only do they only pour 11 oz. of high ABV beers, but anything over 5% ABV only gets an 11 oz. pour. This causes individuals to have to buy another beer to get what everyone else gives you normally in a 18 oz. pour. Our waittress seemed to ignore us. We had to ask for her 3 times. I asked for a glass of ice and got it 30 minutes later, only when I asked another waittress for it. However, I saw her standing behind the bar talking most of the time. She was not a good waittress. We waited another 20 minutes for our bill after we asked for it. Go somewhere else, this place is expensive for what you get and service is terrible. You can get better service ANYWHERE else in...
Read moreNo wait at 1pm on a Saturday, service was attentive, not much atmosphere though. Good drink menu, although the Is It Cake beer tasted 0% like cake. The chicken and dumplings soup was great, the broth not too salty and the little dumplings were delightful. The Two Sausage entree came with a horrid looking wilted side salad that I couldn’t bring myself to touch (I didn’t want it anyway but there weren’t any other options on the menu), however the potato puffs (I’d call them croquettes) were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The sausages themselves were delicious, one knackwurst and one bratwurst. Both had rather tough casings but the knackwurst was especially good,...
