we were visiting from Canada on saturday nov 9 around 1pm, and it was the only place in the Frankenmuth area where the line was moving fast. Me and one person from our group were waiting in line and told the server when she asked that our group was for 5 but the rest are coming. She had it fully written down that our group was for 5 as i saw in her notepad. Once we were at the front of the line the rest of the party had arrived and she immediately got an attitude telling us we had to wait all the way at the back of the line again, even though it was very clear they were part of our group. While she was arguing with me, the other male server was screaming our name and saying "table for 5" over and over again completely ignoring us screaming loudly and waving trying to get his attention that we were here right in front of him. It was extremely rude, we waited in line just the same as everyone else. we made it clear the table was for 5, she had it written down for 5, the other server kept screaming our name proving that the table was for 5, all while this lady was arguing with us that we were supposedly cutting the line. The food was fine and the chefs/cooks were not as rude and were able to explain the way that the buffet/cafeteria works since we were very unfamiliar with this style of dining. I honestly would never suggest to anyone to come here, although the line moved fast i would have rather waited longer at a more...
Read moreOn 12-20-2017 my sister and I went to cafe for sandwiches which we were getting to go at around 8 pm we saw large sign overhead reading order sandwiches here we couldn't see anyone working there so we went to buffet area to order we attempted to place our order with her and were told that there were people ahead of we apologized saying we didn't mean to cut the line at this time we were made to wait a very extended length of time standing at counter waiting to order then the same woman who told us to wait behind others at buffet now told us we had to order at area where we initially waiting she then was trying to get other staff members to make them again we were left standing unattended another female came up we attempted to give her our order she told us she doesn't know how to make sandwiches she walked away leaving us again asking a male employee to make them he did but when they were done and he still had bags behind counter he began this long conversation with other male staff member about their personal life until I went to counter to get sandwiches it is no exaggeration to say that we waited 40 minutes for meal at this time the original staff member was noted continually popping bacon into her mouth and drinking a beverage without washing hands or wearing gloves while...
Read moreI am NOT a picky person. I'm not food must be organically sourced and cooked in angel tears. I'll have the occasional fast food.
I have never been so disappointed with a meal. We paid $42 to feed the trash can. Mashed potatos, wild rice, green beans, stuffed chicken breast, rotisserie chicken were beyond fast food salty. Like my teen said, "What is wrong with this food. It's like eating a bottle of salt." salty. Even the dinner roll was salty tasting.
It was as if a 30 year unfiltered cigarette smoker with a massive head cold was adjusting the seasoning.
The cranberry sauce was always amazing. The coffee was really good. Potato salad wasn't a hit, but thats more because we like a different style. I don't know what happened to the rotisserie chicken. It was rubbery. How does one do that? I've had better rotisserie chicken from a big box store.
I know this isn't rabbit health food. Z Cafe was a meh when we visited a few months ago. This time EVERYTHING was over salted. We will not be back. I love Zehnders, but I could not choke the food down.
The service was great. Everyone was pleasant...
