EDIT: After reading the reply from the restaurant it is very clear that they lack in customer service. A few things to make clear:-
2)There was no mention on their order page that th breakfast items are served only for a certain amount of time "like most places". The heading only says Breakfast. Mains but does not specify the timings. If one can add an item to the cart it is understood that the item is available. You should specify that on your page.
The lady I "claimed" to be rude was indeed very rude. There was no prior communication of the order being canceled or that certain items were not available.
I did not spam with constant drivers for pick up. You should know how the portal you are on works. Postmates kept assigning drivers because you never canceled the order.
Exasperated with your unprofessional behavior and attitude I had to request Postmates to cancel the order. I have snap shots of the order showing ready for pick up till quite late.
You really should know the entire story before responding. As for hoping to serve me again - that will never happen.
Original Post - Unprofessional, rude staff. Should definitely not be a part of the hospitality industry. The one star and review is for the restaurant staff. Placed an order on Postmates. After 45 minutes got a call from the delivery person who said that the restaurant has told him they have canceled the order. They did not give any reason and it did not show as canceled on my end. On requesting to speak with someone from the restaurant he handed the phone to a lady who literally shouted on the phone. She was screaming so much that one could not even understand what she was saying. She didn't even listen to what I was trying to say. Delivery person said she was screaming at him too and rudely walking away when he tried to inquire what happened. The restaurant never canceled the order, did not hand the order to the delivery person. 3 other drivers were assigned the order out of which one more called and said the same thing. Finally was able to get a full refund after speaking with Postmates customer care. Even though I have heard good reviews about the food I will never be ordering from or eating from this restaurant after this experience. It was almost insulting the way the staff spoke to me without even trying to...
Read moreI rate the food joints i visit on three aspects
1)Food & Price: It was a quick stop that we 3 friends made before I went back to Toronto. I have eaten at 100s of a restaurant in TO and I wasn't expecting anything, I just didn't want to set myself up for disappointment. But I was surprised, and I am happy that I skipped the free buffet at the hotel we were staying and went to this joint. We had Puri Bhaji, Chole Khulche, and Aloo Paratha with Achar with Chai and Coffee. Every morsel of food was an amazing experience. And the price wasn't a pinch, it won't burn a hole in your pocket. We paid a total of $40 including the gratuity for 3 of us.
Ambiance and Service: Its a fairly new restaurant(1 yr) and you can see that there is some scope of improvement in terms of the decor and the seating arrangements, but that is easily overshadowed by the warmth and friendly reception of the lady/ cook/ owner of this joint. She received us and gave us the seat and was quick to take the order and the food was brought out in a timely fashion. Kudos to the lady she single handedly managed that day.
Cleanliness: The place was clean and no complaints about the hygiene aspect of the restaurant. The washroom was also clean and kept neat.
So if you want a quick bite and enjoy a good breakfast I would highly recommend this place. And I had the chance to speak to this lady while paying the bill, she was a motivational person who in the latter half of her life started with a startup and heading it successfully. I think I learned a lesson or two from her that day. I wish her all the best with her endeavors. Cheers So give it a try when you are...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at an Indian Kitchen King restaurant in Niagara Falls that truly captured the essence of home-cooked food. From the moment I entered, the cozy ambiance and welcoming staff created a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The menu featured a delightful selection of traditional Indian dishes, all prepared with an evident commitment to authenticity. The flavors and spices used in the preparations were reminiscent of homemade meals, evoking a sense of nostalgia and comfort.
The standout dish for me was the Shahi Kofta and Daal makhni. The shahi kofta in a flavorful, aromatic curry sauce that had a perfect balance of spices. It felt like a lovingly prepared dish that had been simmered for hours, resulting in a delightful combination of flavors that truly tasted like home.
The Non vegetarian options were equally impressive. Very authentic and home cooked style food.
The service was attentive, and the staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasant dining experience..
While the restaurant did an excellent job of recreating the taste of home-cooked food, there were a few minor areas where improvements could be made. The portion sizes were slightly smaller than expected, and the presentation of the dishes could have been more appealing. However, these minor drawbacks did not overshadow the overall positive experience.
If you're in search of an Indian restaurant in Niagara Falls that captures the essence of homestyle cooking, this establishment is a solid choice. Its commitment to authentic flavors and warm hospitality create a cozy and inviting environment. Prepare to indulge in a comforting meal that will transport you to the flavors of a home-cooked...
