Awesome Experience. There was such a large variety of birds in a spacious humane and safe environment. We have been here several times and intend to go more. It is worth it for sure. There are several stories to this palace with birds flying freely everywhere. There is also a beautiful waterfall in here with plenty of light. There are many spots to take excellent photos throughout the building. Also there is parking underneath the building. It is cooler here when it first opens in the summertime. All the concrete really heats up everything by afternoon things up. Bird Kingdom is open year around. We are very lucky. There are also photographers for photos with birds. Awesome Experience. Read moreAbsolutely Blown Away by Bird Kingdom! A Must-Visit in Niagara Falls! Wow, where do I even begin with Bird Kingdom? My visit there was an absolute highlight of my trip to Niagara Falls, and honestly, I was completely blown away by how much there was to see and do! The name "Bird Kingdom" might make you think it's just about birds, but trust me, it's so much more – a true hidden gem that offers an incredible, immersive experience with a surprising variety of animals. The sheer number of birds is astounding, of course. As soon as you step into the main aviary, you're transported to a lush, tropical paradise. Birds of every color imaginable are flying freely around you – macaws, lorikeets, vibrant toucans, and so many more I couldn't even name! It's not just seeing them in cages; it's walking through their environment, with them soaring gracefully overhead and even perching on railings right beside you. The Lorikeet Landing was an absolute dream. Being able to hand-feed those beautiful, cheeky birds was such a unique and joyful experience. I could have stayed there for hours, just giggling at their antics! But here's where Bird Kingdom truly surprised me and went above and beyond my expectations. While bears aren't there, I was thrilled to discover a fantastic array of other creatures! The reptile exhibits were fascinating, showcasing ancient-looking turtles (yes, actual turtles!), cool snakes, and other intriguing reptiles. It's a wonderful contrast to the energetic birds and adds another layer of biodiversity to explore. And the "Night Jungle" – what a brilliant idea! Seeing nocturnal animals like owls and even those surprisingly large bats in their simulated nighttime environment was so unique and educational. It really made me appreciate the different rhythms of the animal world. Beyond the animals, the entire facility is just beautifully designed and maintained. The multi-level rainforest setting, complete with its own waterfall, feels incredibly authentic and creates a genuinely immersive atmosphere. You can tell the animals are well cared for, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. They even have interactive animal encounters that are fantastic for learning more and getting closer to some of the friendlier residents. Honestly, whether you're a serious bird lover, a reptile enthusiast, or just looking for a truly engaging and memorable experience for the whole family in Niagara Falls, Bird Kingdom is a must-visit. It's educational, exciting, and just incredibly uplifting. I left feeling happy, inspired, and with a whole new appreciation for our planet's incredible wildlife. Five stars,...
Read moreHaving been to so many different pet stores and aviaries, i cannot fathom what the low-star reviewers are yapping on about. The entire exhibit, the bird's homes, and even the nocturnal animals, were all magnificent and truly something you could only WISH was of the same standard in every other aviary or bird store. It's absolutely baffling; people who do not understand the strenuous efforts needed to look after so many lives requiring the care of a toddler, and for them to hold the title of the largest free-flying aviary in the world, of course it would want to mimic that of their natural habitats, and having every perch of space be used up just shows how lived-in and comfortable these borbs are being here.
Talking to the staff in the first section of free-fly birds, she was incredibly knowledgeable, lovely, and clearly knew what she was working with and talking about. The compassion and care for each parrot is not taken lightly, and a short chat from any of the staff would easily give you that impression. Reading any of the descriptions of the birds is enough to show that they are sincere and devoted to their animals. Learning that every bird here was donated goes to show the severity of the illegal and unethical bird trades that occur, and the fact that they provide so much medical attention to all of their birds is so sweet and unbelievably kind.
It was so wonderful seeing such a variety of birds, and to interact with some of them is an irreplicable experience if you have any appreciation of the awe and beauty of birds. The sheer number of birds- not to mention the different sized aviaries and animal varieties as well- was so impressive for what looked like a small building. I had to make a second trip the following day to meet the rest of their friendly birds since they rotate them twice a day from a roster of 30+. It was a stellar experience to hold a macaw, and such a fun and cheeky one feeding the lorikeets. I could definitely spend the entire day here
This was absolutely my favourite experience in my...
