I ordered eggs Benedict wanted to try it so bad. Waitress asked what would we want my husband orderd 3 eggs over easy sausage pattie and white bread not toasted or buttered and hash browns he got ,2 eggs and the sausage was so thin the white bread was right and hash browns were right. I ordered eggs Benedict I asked for the egg to b fully cooked and the waitdress said u want it hard ok then she asked white kind of bread I said white and did I want sausage pattie or sausage links no I said so I said to my husband why did she asked me all that when an egg Benedict comes on a english muffin with ham. She never read the order back. What I did get was toasted white bread with butter hash browns and 3 well cooked eggs . I wasn't happy she said she didn't hear me say eggs Benedict because my husband asked a question and she got mixed up if she read our order back I would of said something. She did ask to remake it I said no it was to busy. I took 3 bites of hash browns one slice of toast drank my coffee no one checked on us till my husband was done eating a different waitdress stopped and asked why I didn't eat I told her what happened the waitdress said I should of reordered what I wanted. Our waitress said to the other waitress it was her fault.They did take off my order...

A great little place in the heart of Broadway in Saratoga Springs. Serving breakfast til mid-afternoon, it seemed the perfect place to stop in for a nice, mid-morning breakfast. Our server greeted us quickly and pleasantly. I ordered a Western Omelet which comes with home fries and toast along with a side of sausage links. The food came incredibly quickly and was prepared exactly how I like it - fluffy, well cooked but still moist eggs, home fries with just the right amount of crisp, etc. Our server checked in periodically but not obtrusively. And a great price for great food! So, why only 4 stars? Well, in this day of a multitude of ways to pay electronically, Compton's features cash only. There is a handy ATM there, but now I gotta pay a buck (plus my own bank's fees) just to use my money. Not what I would expect for a business in that fantastic location. And, the bathrooms, while clean, well, barely had enough room to stand in. If you need to do your business sitting, good luck. Would I eat here again? Absolutely! I would just make sure to bring cash and use the facilities...

This place is great. It always has been as long as I have been a patron.

It's a small dinner with great food and a friendly atmosphere. You can walk through the back entrance right past the kitchen and into the dining room, the servers are very friendly and welcoming; the whole experience feels like you're at a family members' home or like you're a regular customer even if you aren't.

The food is better than any diner in the area. If I am being honest, it is not any kind of "you-can't-get-it-anywhere-else" type of food - it is pretty basic and the menu reflects what you might find at any diner. But it is still delicious nonetheless; it comes out fast, the portions are generous and - once again - the staff is great.

All of these factors come together to make the experience better than other diners. Sure you could go to any other one, but the fact that they have the typical diner menu and still can stay at the top of their game makes the choice obvious.
