I LOVE the food here. We have eaten here so many times we do not live locally so we drive an hour to get there and often times just to eat there. My only issue is that as people who are low carb we don’t drink soda or beverages with sugar. They do not offer bottles water or sparkling water of any kind. That would be such a great addition to the menu. Other than that great food great customer service!
Update: when I wrote the previous review we were actually sitting in the restaurant. At that time all of the grill burners on the left side of the restaurant were in operable
My husband and I ordered two glasses of unsweetened iced tea however we were served sweetened iced tea and they had absolutely no unsweetened iced tea in the building according to our server
I asked him if he could ask management for a solution but there was no management on site because they were at the second restaurant location
My husband then asked for a glass of unsweetened green tea and I opted for the tap ice water with lemon Our server brought my husband a glass of ice water with a teabag in it. That does not make for a glass of green tea
Between the lack of management , our server who is very young and a very sweet person but who seemed to not really know what to do, and the inoperable grill we decided to leave we were very...
Read moreRecently decided to give this place another try considering they opened up a second place. Came by in the afternoon and ordered Combo D, fried squid appetizer, and chicken teriyaki/chicken bulgogi. We'll get to the last part in a bit. Anyways, they're not overly busy in the afternoon and we came in and albeit with minor inconvenience was able to order the above food. The Combo D comes with brisket, a ribeye steak, kalbi, pork belly, pork shoulder butt, and chicken. All of which was delicious. The meat was tender and we were provided with salt and sauce for our own tastes.
The problem came when we decided we'd end the night with chicken teriyaki. I have no idea what goes on in the kitchen, but that dish shouldn't have come out cold and on a warm plate. Which suggests to me that you prepared these dishes ahead of time and try to keep them warm on a warming plate in the back. We sent it back and it came back as though it were microwaved and more sauce was put on it. Still cold. We swapped to the chicken bulgogi and luckily at least that came out hot as requested. Overall, experience was alright but could have...
Read moreUnfortunately, it looks like they got new management and things have changed. First, they won't give you a table for six people until everyone was there. Ok, I got that, although, there was no one waiting and the restaurant was not full. But I get why they do it. Then, the all you can eat barbecue meat now is $35 per person instead of $120 or so per table of six. It was never "all you can eat" but it was plenty for six people. I get that too, prices have gone up. Then, they didn't have lettuce for the barbecue, really? Then the waitress said she would ask because we said otherwise we wouldn't order the meat. Finally, she came back and said they have some but they just have wash it. Ok, we wait. At the end I was going to leave $25 tips for the young nice waitress but someone in my group red in fine print on the receipt that a gratuity of 26% or 28% was added to the bill for groups of six or more. So we asked for clarification and again we had to wait for the waitress to ask. Indeed, the $163 already had a 26% imposed gratuity. I almost doubletiped over $50 and they would have kept it too. Never...
