Well, the food is always pretty great here! I ordered two regular pancakes (with very hot syrup), one egg mixed with egg whites, and my date ordered the brown sugar crusted bacon with an omelet and something else. And, aside from the fact that they half screwed up my order (they mistakenly only brought me one pancake, as opposed to the two I ordered...they said they didn't want me to eat a cold pancake...but I told them I wanted the two together...that was a tad annoying), the experience was quite pleasant.
I never feel disrespected or mistreated at this establishment. Seemingly, they tend to treat all patrons with dignity and respect regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious practices, or any of the above. For that alone, they deserve 5 stars! Well...that coupled with the fact of the food being Top Notch! If you've never eaten at this establishment, I highly encourage you to go there and have brunch. But, when you go, be sure to ask for their brown sugar encrusted bacon! I might be saying it incorrectly because I, myself, did not have any bacon since I'm newly a pescatarian.
That brings me to my final point. Since I'm a pescatarian, it was nice that they had food items I, too, could consume without dietary restrictions. Many restaurants--in recent times--are trying to be more expansive with their menus. It's nice to know that First Watch is paying attention!
Ohhh...Be prepared to wait a while, though, because an establishment this popular always has lines. But, trust me when I tell you that the wait is...
Read moreI went into this location for lunch today. It took over 10 minutes for a waiter to come to our table after we were seated. I wasn't bothered by that as I knew they were busy. What my complaint is with our waiter. I specifically mentioned my dairy and gluten allergy and asked if there was any dairy in the soup. I didn't ask about gluten because why put gluten in a soup...my bad. The waiter was quick to say "No, there is no dairy in the soup." I took his word for it and ordered the soup. I haven't had dairy in years so when I took the first bite something tasted off but I couldn't place it. I took a second bite and suspected there was dairy. I couldn't ask anyone since no one came to our table. Instead of just stopped eating it. On the way home I started to feel very ill, but I was hoping I was imagining it. Now it is a few hours later and I am doubled over in pain in my stomach. I looked up the allergens to confirm my suspicions. There is both gluten and dairy in the soup. I will be calling the manager tomorrow to ensure he understands the importance of having the staff be aware of ingredients and when they are not...
Read moreOverall, a well-located chain brunch spot that is reasonably priced and has great offerings. I would definitely come again!
WAIT TIME: We had a reservation and came early and they were still able to seat us within five minutes. They also have nice benches to sit at to wait if needed.
FOOD: We shared the French toast and the salmon frittata. Both were tasty! The salmon was interesting in an omelet, and some bites had a little too much fishy taste, but overall I still enjoyed it. They have a large variety of menu items and their seasonal menus are also excellent.
SERVICE: They just opened this location, so servers are still learning. Overall, I have no complaints, you can just tell they’re still getting familiar with it.
AMBIANCE: The space is well decorated and very open and sunny. I love where it’s located and the layout makes sense.
PRICE: The total came out to $35, which is very decent for a brunch for two! This included the two plates and two...
