Parlor Doughnuts — Restaurant in Clearwater

Parlor is my favorite doughnut shoppe by far! I have visited a few different locations and was so excited to find Clearwater was getting one and kept check on when it was expected to open for over a year. Little disappointed it is actually on Clearwater Beach because that will keep a lot of locals from going there on a regular basis due to the hassle of getting there. It is about an hour-hour and a half from Tampa and about an hour due to beach traffic from most parts of the city of Clearwater. This location is in the Holiday Inn building and there is little if any parking for Parlor customers so you have to find a public parking spot , pay to park, and then walk to Parlor. The food was amazing as always and even though we got there around 9 am they were already sold out of most of the doughnut options and this was on a weekday. The restaurant lobby was a bit unkept and the creamer cans were all empty as well as most of the napkin dispensers which surprised me because there were at least 6-7 employees working at that time. I chalked it up to them having a busy morning before we arrived as I know from other locations this is not what is typical for this brand. Due to hassle of location I will visit on special occasions or on the handful of days I make the trek over to Clearwater Beach. Hopefully they will open a more local friendly Parlor in the Tampa Bay area either in the outskirts of downtown Tampa or in another less congested tourist area like Tarpon Springs or Lutz/Wesley Chapel due to the shopping. If you are going to Clearwater Beach you should stop and give them a try. Honey Glazed, Blueberry Hill, and Lemon are my favorites...hope to try Pina Colada if I can ever catch it before...

Okay so first off: this isn’t health food, this is probably the best junk food you can find. If you want good donuts, don’t come here. If you want freaking phenomenal donuts, this is your Mecca. Technically speaking they are cronuts but all that means is that they are even more amazing. How can a donut get even more amazing you ask? Just take one bite and then not only will you know that answer but your consciousness will be elevated to a whole new level and the whole pattern of life and the universe will be laid out before your eyes. You will have a skip in your step, you will pump your fists in the air, and your favorite music will be blaring at heart pumping volumes. Of course that could all be a side effect from the sugar rushing through your system. Who knows, I’m not a neurologist. Also they have vegan and gluten free options for those of you who roll like that. If you are going on the weekend get there early or all the good options will be sold out. Also these ain’t cheap donuts, but you won’t care. It’s probably the cheapest addiction...
