I Usually never write reviews, but unfortunately, our food experience was less than ideal so felt compelled this time. My husband and I, along with our two friends visited the restaurant prior to attending a comedy show this past Sunday.
Drinks: I ordered a drink that was supposed to have "cola" in it however the only indication of cola in my drink was the brown color of the drink. Not a single bubble. My husband ordered two very expensive bourbon cocktails only to have to tell our server that his second drink tasted as if the bar tender had used tequila instead of the Angel's Envy he had been charged for.
Food - I Ordered a fig and prosciutto flat bread pizza and the bottom was completely black as if it had been cooked way too fast in the stone oven. It was hard as a rock and I almost chipped a tooth on a bone or something that I bit into. I couldn't even finish the flatbread as it was so bad.
A friend ordered a cheese burger along with a "Caesar salad" only to receive his burger without the toppings that had been discussed as well as french fries instead of his salad. Our server then stated that the restaurant had all cheeses except American? Isn't that the most common type of cheese for a burger? When our server brought my friend's salad to him after explaining that he had not received the correct order, it looked more like a house salad and had a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Our server told us that Pickwick's Caesar salads come with balsamic dressing and not Caesar dressing which I don't even understand. How is it a Caesar's salad without the dressing?
My husband said that he was so disappointed in our food this night that he actually made a comment to the cook in the kitchen while he was paying our bill. When we told our server about our less than ideal food, her first response was, "I'm so sorry, what do you want?" We told her that we didn't want anything, and that we just wanted the staff to know so that others wouldn't experience what we had. Our server was great - as was the atmosphere - the food on the other hand, was not so great.
We are not food critics nor do we like to criticize restaurants; however, this meal was worth commenting on. We have a very good friend who is a successful GM at a high-end Cleveland restaurant - and know that this would never fly at one...

Read moreJust went here the previous even on a Friday to see Chris Distefano perform stand up Comedy. This is just the coolest venue. Every single staff member I interacted with was super friendly. The bartender was a very knowledgeable girl. Getting tickets, being seated, and evening leaving tickets at the booth for my other friends was super easy and organized. There are no bad seat in the club and I'm being dead serious.
We had lodge seating so we had a great view from the balcony. They come to you once you're seated and take orders before the show begins. We got beer, wine, cocktails, and even food. All were good. The breads and spreads were amazing and you get a lot. Enough to share between 4 people. Also, the seats were very comfortable for the 4 of us. In the lodge the seating is like a longer booth to accommodate a group. We had 4 people, but it could of easily sat 6; 5 very comfortably.
As for the show, it was amazing. The entertainment was good, you could hear every word, and the venue was very lively and interactive. It was so fun.
This was my first live stand up comedy experience and it was just mind blowing. I couldn't ask for a better time or place to experience this awesome night. I highly recommend this place to adults looking for a good downtown Cleveland night on 4th street. Just a...
