Let me start by saying that my boyfriend and I have been going to tropic for over a year now, and we used to LOVE it.
What I will say now is that I am getting tired of coming to tropic and not knowing whether or not my smoothie will be made correctly. It’s never consistent.
Today I went in for an açaí berry boost smoothie. I used to love this smoothie and I’m sick- açaí is good for that. I get to the car and take a sip and am met with full berries that weren’t blended at all. Along with ice and a LITTLE bit of smoothie. It was hard to drink, causing sensory issues, and didn’t taste well.
I did go back in and ask to exchange it nicely and they agreed and I thought that was very nice of them. I switched to my normal drink so I wouldn’t even risk the same thing happening.
Tell me how and why this smoothie is straight chunks of ice AGAIN? Like I come in for you to fix it, I tell y’all it wasn’t blended enough, and yall completely ignore the issue and do it again. Almost like you didn’t feel like dealing with your mistake and wanted to push me back out of the door. I’m really thinking about giving up with Tropic now. I never had this issue with smoothie king. NEVER.

Read moreI go here fri - Monday ( my work days) to get my drinks. I do love how clean they keep it. That is a big thing with me. The drinks are normally good. The staff is always awesome there. I will say, their biggest issue is their food! I do not understand, if you’re store is open till 9... why isn’t the food still available till that time? I do not know if all the locations do this, but this one shuts down their Gill @ 8:30 sharp! I was in there today @ 8:33, ordered food at 8:34, and was denied. I was kinda shock, but then was upset and left without even getting a drink. The man apologized, and when I looked at my clocked I replied it is only 834. I was like, well forget even getting a drink then and turned and left. As I was leaving he stated they turn them off at 830, sharp! I just continued my way out of the store. You should state... this is what you guys do somewhere at the counter or on your menu. I had rushed there just to get my food, and wasted my lunch time. I am truly upset there has never been anything that states this. Had I known... I wouldn’t had even went there, and not wasted my lunch time doing so. Read moreEvery time I order from this Tropical Smoothie location, something is wrong—especially on weekends. I work on Hall Road and have given them multiple chances, but I’m done. The employees consistently don’t add the extras you pay for, like whey protein. I’ve even overheard them say, “If they don’t notice, we don’t add it.” That’s stealing, plain and simple.
The store manager is just as rude as the rest of the staff—zero accountability. When I brought up that my extras were missing, I was basically told it’s not their problem. But it is—I paid for it. I’ve literally watched them throw away what I paid extra for.
Online orders are almost always wrong, and the girls working there act like it’s a chore to do their jobs. If you’re ordering 20g of protein and paying for it, you should get it—not attitude and a half-made drink.
